The good - you are right next to waterfall. quiet. Angelina Jolie stayed here. Meet the owner, he lives above the dining area. The bad - you are also right next to the road. Fortunately not much traffic. Weak WIFI, they also turn it off at night. This is kind of like glamping. Rooms are cabins with outdoor shower. We... More

Looking at all the internet pages and the reviews Sukantara should have been a stay of utter luxury. However, the room was damp. The bedding and the toilet paper. It was a real disappointment as we expected luxury and paid for luxury. The menu was limited with only a few items which appealed to us. We did indulge in the... More

This could well be one of the best romantic hotels of the world. Private, romantic , and secluded. Rooms are individually private, with bathing outside in the open if desired. Nature walks and endless photo scenic opportunities. Hotel is a 40 min - 1 hr drive from Chiang Mai. There's not much of any shops, so bring all your necessities.... More

We were there for 3 nights last weekend; place is very nice, just on the river and waterfall; rooms are nice and nicely decorated but showing some sign of decline due to poor maintenance; the problem is poor service especially if compared with price. Althouth it was weekend and nice weather the place was almost completely empty and unfortunatelly we... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and was absolutely beautiful! So much nature surrounding, and lovely staff. The staff member who drove us around to do our activities was very pleasant and overall a great experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax and be away from the city, as unfortunately not many shops around. :)

To be completely open, I won a 2 night stay at this resort and was skeptical when I read the reviews..maybe even a bit apprehensive since it was meant for my wedding anniversary trip. Nevertheless, I must say that I am absolutely floored when I saw the location in the morning after my arrival (didn't see much when I arrived... More

Like someone mentioned below. We were there only for 15 minutes before we decided to go back to our previous hotel in Chiang Mai. We booked for 3 nights and after checking out early at our hotel in Phuket we decided to stay longer. Luckily they had no rooms available for us and we stayed at a beautiful boutique hotel... More

Food looks good but was complete rubbish... So bad they didn't argue when I said I ain't paying for it... Steak was rubber, everything was cold to luke warm... No hot water, so the kids had a dreadful shower.... TV was an old clunker and fuzzy... They offered wifi, but we ended up using our 3G as their internet was... More

Back in the day, I am sure this was one of the most picturesque hotels in Chiang Mai. I think the guardian newspaper said this was voted one of the nicest hotels by a waterfall back in 2007. A lot has changed since then. The rooms were not maintained - slightly dingy, the jacuzzi was broken. Food was overly priced... More

Beautiful cascade resort &spa. We went for massage with my boyfriend, and it was 4 hours long experience. Definitely you need to try. The owner and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The local dishes are a bit spicy for my taste, but overall delicious . A lot of activities are close to the resort. The rooms are clean... More
