We stayed here en-route to Aberystwyth from Cardiff. The hotel is in a peaceful location , decor and rooms a little too 1970's and bed disappointing . BUT staff excellent and engaging, food both at dinner and breakfast simply superb

I stayed here to attend a conference the next day at a nearby venue. I arrived late and was off early, so can't comment about the B&B as a holiday venue, although the grounds looked lovely and the in-room hotel guide did map out some local walks, which were appealing. I arrived after dark, and as a London resident the... More

Have stayed here the last 2 years on business for one night and enjoyed my stay. Beds were comfy, though the televisions are a bit small (only a minor point). The bathroom is a little pokey but again does everything you need. Breakfast included cereals and also a choice of hot foods (the omelette was good) and there are several... More

Recently had a one night stay with friends. Was made very welcome, nothing was too much trouble, extremely friendly staff. Nice little touches in the room, bottles of water by the bed. Crisps, cakes and chocolate with the tea tray. Two easy chairs in front of the TV which had a dvd player. Little touches that make a difference. Lovely... More

Just returned from a two night stay, we had Room 9, and would agree with the previous comments about the water pressure, but apart from that, and a drippy kettle, with no tray which meant the furniture marked as it was pine, were very comfortable indeed. The thing that really made our stay was the food. We ate in the... More

We stayed here for three nights earlier this month, and, at first, got what we expected...very rural, peaceful, and in a lovely setting. Our room cost £100 per night, and was spacious if a little rustic. The staff were welcoming and always helpful....nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant food was homespun and enjoyable.......coffee outside by the lake was an... More

Conveniently located for the Royal Wesh Showground in Llanelwedd (5 miles) and Llandrindod Wells (1 mile) and a short walk into Howey (or £4 taxi), a small village with one pub - The Laughing Dog - and a Thai Restaurant - The Drovers. We received a warm welcome. The room we were allocated (Room 9) looked ok at first (not... More

Recently stayed for a long weekend on a biking holiday in mid Wales. The location is fantastic! Very peaceful and quite with lovely grounds around the hotel. A nice place for an even walk before dinner. The food was wonderful with all produce sourced from within 10 miles. The staff were attentive and helpful. I stayed in a large twin... More

We selected this hotel because of the good reviews. It wasn't the cheapest but we thought we would treat ourselves. We were so disappointed with the hotel that it spoilt our weekend. The first room we were allocated was unacceptable. The bathroom radiator was leaking brown gunge, the toilet roll holder was fixed so that it was behind your shoulder.... More

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at The Three Bells and it was exactly what we needed in terms of peaceful location, comfort and excellent food. The room (15) was more like a suite on the top floor with lovely views and adjoining sitting room. Evening meal delicious and breakfast the next morning. The staff were very polite and helpful....
