We have been a couple of times recently, once with relatives at short notice. Andy the owner was able to look after us and considering we have vegetarians and a vegan amongst us they did very well indeed. We had a splendid time and was looked after by a superb young lady who really understands about customer service. The food... More

20 of us, family and friends with children, stayed the night on New Years Eve. The welcoming we got from Andy and Emma was great. We all arrived separately, and met by a roaring fire in the bar. Rooms were great, clean and very spacious too. The evening meal was outstanding, compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. Nothing was... More

Positives: Good value food Great presentation Pretty rustic decor Plenty of car parking Lovely open fire Service quick and attentive Negatives: Wi-if does not work No mobile phone signal Two distinct areas in downstairs bar, one frequented by groups of men propping up the bar all night, (no females, no couples). And the other more relaxed area where those that... More

The Hanmer Arms, in the beautiful historic village of Hanmer Wales, is an unexpected and impressive delight. It is very well maintained and presented. I enjoyed lunch by the fire among serveral friendly locals and I enjoyed the service of a very pleasant waitress. The pea and ham soup was truly the best I've ever had. The bangers and mash... More

Recently enjoyed a 2 night stay. Hammer is a very nice location, in a beautiful area. Could not fault anything with the Hanmer Arms. Room fine, food fine and staff very welcoming and helpful. Will stay again when possible.

Today 14th November , after a trip to the local school fair , we decided to stop at the hanmer hotel for afternoon tea , it was 2.30 pm . As we walked into the hotel it was very bare and quiet no smiles or welcomes . We eventually arrived in the main bar area to see a beautiful open... More

Just spent a wonderful nights stay at The Hanmer Arms. Lovely setting and quiet location. The staff could not do enough to please, especially Adele, thankyou. The food was gorgeous. The best fish and chips I have ever tasted, batter so light snd crisp. The rooms are chalet style, cosy and comfortable. We joined the locals in the weekly pub... More

The hotel is definitely worth a stay. Hanmer is not the center of the world, however the hotel makes you feel comfortable when it's again raining all day long. - clean room - English breakfast - quiet surrounding - cozy atmosphere in public areas

We found the room clean comfortable and had everything we needed The food was absolutely lovely. The service and friendliness of all the staff was excellent. The value for money was exceptional. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Would highly recommend this hotel. Great stay.
