After visiting this pub before for a meal, I really wanted to go back and stay for a night to sample a Fillet steak and a lot more of the ales! We drove up on the Saturday afternoon and had a great afternoon/evening sampling the Ales and Ciders at the bar, and chatting to the staff, who were great. We... More

despite being located in a very small village The Hanmer Arms offer everything you need for a small break, good food, good beer, comfy bed and a friendly welcome. The chalet style rooms are very adequate and clean. The well stocked bar is open all day with a lovely beer garden for those sunny days and the food is well... More

This was near Iscoyd Park which we were attending for a wedding and suited us well - a short drive away. Plenty of car parking is available and we were greeted with a smile. The rooms are accessed from covered external walkways and were clean and perfectly adequate. We didn't have dinner but reports from friends were positive and our... More

We went to here some time ago, to say it was dreadful is an understatement. The coffee was poor, the whole ambiance was as if the place was closing down, and the staff attitude - well lets just say that it left a lot to be desired. Under new management, the place has much improved. All of the above have... More

We stayed overnight at the Hanmer Arms after going to a wedding at nearby Iscoyd Park. Checking in time is usually 2pm but when we phoned we mentioned the wedding was due to start at 3pm so they suggested we book in at 1pm. It's easy to find, just on the right as you take the turning for Hanmer Village,... More

Lovely location in the village of Hanmer, which has an historic church (we met the vicar who told us the history of the place). Very helpful staff, excellent food, comfortable beds and plenty of parking space The outer door was a bit draughty on a cold night.
