The magic starts on arrival! The staff are amazing, welcoming and a nice crisp cool face cloth is perfect! After a couple of minutes we are escorted to our villa. The walk to the Vila is also a tour of the resort, which was nice. On arrival to our villa, the music is playing and the staff member gives us... More

We stayed at Gayana for 3 great nights. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left the staff colours not have been more helpful. Beautiful apartment that you just walked into the sea. Such a relaxing place and the views with the backdrop of the rain Forrest are spectacular.

The hubby is working in Sarawak and we wanted to make a break for the weekend. We found Gayana on Tripadvisor and made the booking. What a lovely weekend; The staff is helpful and friendly and spoke good enough english for us to understand each other. The Solace Spa at Gayana has a beautiful view and the treatments were enjoyable.... More

Quality of water was not good vs. other islands, and our stay coincided with the red tide, and therefore we ended up not being able to get into the water. Swimming pool is small, but OK given there were only a handful of guests. Trekking at a charge of 50MYR per person for a 45min walk and had to be... More

Dear Mrs Jayne, thank you very much for your comments in relation to your recent stay at Gayana Eco Resort. We are extremely sorry about the water conditions that you had experienced during your stay. The red tide phenomenon is one totally out of our control and your frustration is also ours. During that period we had many guests in... More

I was in KK for a conference and wanted a few days of relaxation beforehand. I had looked at this resort before and thought it was terribly overpriced. In the end, I found a better deal on Agoda than what the hotel originally quoted me but it was still pricey. I decided to book an Ocean Villa because I wanted... More

We paid the extra and had an ocean villa room (the non-ocean views looked somewhat claustrophobic but we didn't go inside). So you have a beautiful spacious room with floor to ceiling glass looking over the China Sea and islands. Your own private jetty you can swim from with lots of different fish. Very comfortable sun lounges on the deck,... More

Arriving by boat to be greeted by friendly efficient staff, a good start to the stay. The front row villas looking directly over the ocean give excellent unobstructed views and allow access directly from your own veranda into the sea, (the second row has an obscured front view and the rear doors open out on to large decked area and... From the moment we reached the ferry port we were treated royally by the staff at Gayana, they were exceptional. We did not find them slow, we were there to relax not to harass or feel harassed. The two restaurants and breakfast offering was first class but the wine was overly expensive for a mediocre list, we did not have... More

Our honeymoon holiday (Dec 2014) was a truly amazing and unforgettable experience. The staff at Gayana should be very proud at how they treat their guests as we were always greeted with smiles and well looked after. They organised fantastic Christmas and New Years Eve celebrations. It was great to see all the staff so involved and in the spirit... More
