This pub was recommended to us by friends and did not disappoint. We popped in early for lunch and the log fire was already raging, the owner and his family made us so welcome and the locals were all friendly, made us look at house prices in Pett! Thoroughly recommend the fish pie and will be back again.

Stayed here for 1 night for an overdue family reunion. Found it after a little research for an Inn somewhere close to where relative lives. All I can say here is that every thing was great - food, drink, prices, room, parking and staff (especially). This will be the only place we stay for future visits in the area. Thanks... More

This pub and B&B was a great find. Located close to Hastings in the village of Pett. We had booked a room for one night. We had the "ASH" room, a large room, plenty of storage space, settee. A nice touch was the fridge with fresh milk and bottled water. A lot better than the little UHT pots you normally... More

A great country pub! Good food, great wine (the MALBEC TO DIE FOR! ) and helpful staff a short distance from Hastings - well worth a visit! I'm putting on my regular venue list! I highly recommend a visit... 😁

What a great find! Just outside Hastings near Fairlight cove, chanced on a really good village pub. We were camped in a nearby Caravan Club site in nearby woods. A brisk 4 minute walk ended in a pub where the food was definately a cut above! Mine host and the pub cat greeted us in a bustling environment! Cat got... More

We had booked rooms for my wife & I and our son. Both rooms were clean with a small fridge containing fresh milk and bottled water. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. There was a little noise from below but we expect that when we stay at a pub on a Saturday night. We arrived late... More

The bedrooms were spacious, comfortable, clean and tidy; and the en-suite bathrooms were modern, clean and well-equipped. We enjoyed the evening meals, for which there was plenty of choice, and the excellent, hearty English breakfasts. The staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. An enjoyable break!

Lovely place to stay - good sized rooms and bedroom and Mark is a great host and clearly the pub is very popular as the staff are friendly and attentive and the menu is varied with some good specials. Breakfast was very good with plenty of everything.
