Only thing left standing is the bathrooms as the walls were solid concrete. Yolanda's center made landfall about 2 miles north of the resort. Two years later it still looks like a gigantic weed eater came through the area. Not to worry, there are two beautiful resorts within five miles and another will be available in February 2016.

I visited Calicoan surf camp after the typhoon and there isn't much left of it. It really bore the full brunt of the typhoon, trees snapped like matchsticks. Buildings demolished, infinty pools smashed to bits.

The location is simply stunning and in prime surfing season (June to October) I couldn't think of a place in the world I'd rather be. The staff are friendly and the food is extremely good. Some small problems, however. The place looks really poorly-maintained: all kinds of things seem to be in decay or falling apart, and no one seemed... More

We spend 3 days in september 2013. No service, unfriendly staff, dirty place!!! They asked 6100 pesos for the room. We were the only guests and they didn't clean the room. They pretend to be a surf camp...but it's not! Staff spend all day long watching TV!! Nice reef break for surfing.

I have been going to this resort and using the facility for day use only. Each time I travel to Guiuan to visit my wife's family i try to go there and relax. Despite the treacherous and hazard filled van ride from the airport in Tacloban 3 hours away, the resort grounds are AMAZING. It is the service that really... More

I had high expectations from the reviews and was very disappointed. First of all, the hotel is a 3 hour drive from Tacloban airport at a cost of 8000 php /round trip. It literally is in the middle of nowhere. The only restaurant is an Andok's across the street (fast food chicken which actually is not bad). The hotel is... More

I love the place. But getting there takes a long ride and a bumpy ride at some point. The resort is good. Food is good, but you need to order before hand. Food may take a while. Resort staff was okay. Room was great. Beach and infinity pool (it is salty) is average. The price looks reasonable. To make it... More
