We Loved It ! 4 nights in a Deluxe Tent. For Families that want to Camp together with some of their "Home Comforts" this is Perfect ! The location is fantastic, giving a sense of real freedom for the children but peace and seclusion for the adults. It proves the point that sometimes the simple things in life are all... More

We stayed here in may 2014 and on arrival I couldn't believe my eyes!!! It was amazing!!! The kids were gobsmacked as this is a whole other world of camping!!! Don't be expecting the Hilton and its relaxing to a certain degree you have to remember that you have to cook, make fires in tents and keep things tidy to... More

My family and I have just returned from a Friday to Monday break at Jollydays campsite, I had never heard of Glamping before but I must admit I was a little bit apprehensive , When we arrived at the site we tried to keep an open mind especially when we had to transport all our belongings by wheel barrows to... We took a woodcutters hut for two nights-my girlfriend, her four year old and me. We had read some mixed reviews (after we booked) so were unsure of what to expect, but we needn't have worried. Yes, there's limited amenities (BUT ITS CAMPING!) but the welcome was v warm and the accommodation was brilliant. If you are unsure about the... More

Myself, my daughter and my Mum had a fabulous 4 night break, staying in one of the superior bell tents. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the site is just gorgeous - totally secluded in beautiful woodland and each tent placed far enough away from the next to allow a feeling of real escape. The tent was clean... More

We returned to Jollydays this year - superior bell tent. Perfect for our family of 5. We had a fantastic time. Toasting marshmallows, den building, log burning stoves, making new friends. the kids really enjoyed running in the forest and the bushcraft children's activities. We took a few toys, facepaints, fairy door crafts and a pack of little cards to... More

I really don't know how they can say luxury, we had one of the Lodge Tents and it was down as shabby chic in fact it was just shabby and not very clean either, these tents are very expensive to book and you would expect a certain level of basic cleanliness, glasses dirty, plates dirty and cutlery, flooring ripped, toilet bowl... We came here as two couples, brought board games with us and loads of food. We got there and it was a pleasant surprise. The woodcutters lodge were perfect for us, a big raised decked area with a picnic bench and a big BBQ. There was a small hut that had all the utensils you'd need and a hob. There... More

If you love nature and love camping but want your own toilet and bathroom in your tent then this is for you. we are not campers at all but did enjoy the experience. Tents were spacious and very shabby chic. The only down side... More

We have been to Jollydays 3 times in the past 18 months. Twice in a Deluxe tent, and this year at the beginning of the season in a new Woodcutters Hut. We have enjoyed all three visits, we always go early in the season with the midweek two night break offer. The woodcutters hut is by far our favourite accommodation... More

“Britain’s finest camping experience” Janey Lee Grace, Radio 2 DJ and Best Selling Author This multi award-winning camp was set up by design couple Carolyn and Christian Van Outersterp who had previously masterminded London’s stylish restaurant bar and discreet celebrity hang out CVO Firevault.Jollydays Luxury Camping is the culmination of the Van Outersterp’s 15-year dream to combine a love of camping and chic hotels – it’s an extension of their simplified lifestyle – beautiful surroundings, great food and socialising around a roaring log fire. For the kids it’s heaven on earth (even those addicted to their Playstations).“Fantastic, brilliant… I feel like the favourite son of a Bedouin prince – it’s amazing”. Alexander Armstrong, Comedian and TV Presenter. This is a unique British Camp with a lovely communal feel – a tea tent and campfire are at its heart and the camp appeals to families, couples and groups. The Deluxe Lodges are particularly superb, they have huge wood burners, 4 poster beds, fridges, roll top baths, loos, fully equipped kitchen and an outside dining area.Jollydays is ideally situated close to York (less than 2 hours from Kings Cross), close to the Yorkshire Wolds, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Moors National Park. ... more   less
