Having been in the Dale's for three days and being told by the landlord of the pub in the village we were staying in that no one around here sells Old Peculiar! I thought the rest of my holiday would be dry! But the next day after a walk to Buckden and missing the bus back to our village we... More

I needed to pay a visit to a customer in Skipton and since I had such fond memories of staying in the Buck Inn some 15 years ago I was keen to see how the old place was doing now. My first port of call was to have a look on trip advisor to see how it was now, it... More

Went to the buck inn 8th September 2012 on the spur of the moment. Had a brilliant time. Michelle and the two lovely ladies behind the bar made me, my husband and our dog calle so welcome. They're all very genuine people. Brilliant walks on the doorstep. We stayed for one night and had our evening meal in the restaurant... More

Having tried to stop at the George Inn at Hubberholme for a drink on a walk over the weekend and not having any luck (see my other review for that one), we decided to stop at the Buck Inn for a quick pint before heading home. The last mile or so of our walk was typical of a Dales bank... More

Although we didn't stay at the Buck Inn, we booked a table for Sunday lunch yesterday (26th Aug) for 2 adults and our 1 year old twins. The quality of the food and the service were both excellent. All of the staff made us feel very welcome and were all friendly. They really went out of their way to ensure... More

We were made very welcome and they opened the kitchen early for us! The food was really good and plenty of choice. A good price too, in an area that has a lot of expensive pubs! Plenty of Black Sheep for my husband and a roaring fire! Thanks

Visited The Buck Inn on Saturday 11th August 2012. Two adults and two children. Kids can have small portions of the menu and the price really reasonable. No Black Sheep though as advertised on the signage.

Sunny Saturday , 4 good pals enjoying a favorite ramble in Wharfedale. We stopped to have a quick drink in the Buck Inn. We watched good food being whizzed past our table & decided on impulse to stay and eat. The food was good wholesome fare & plenty of it. The suet crust steak pudding was excellent as was the... We visited the newly reopened Buck for lunch with grandparents and 2 young children (8 and 5). We enjoyed braised beef with mash and veg, liver and onions, lasagne, homemade yorkshire puds, smashing sausages, and chilli all washed down with well kept beer and draught Estrella Damm. The food was all well cooked, hearty pub fare. The landlord and landlady... More
