Having stayed here with my partner at the end of August 2014, I found the B&B to be wonderful. The host Susan was really very nice. Upon making my booking to stay, which was a day before, she did advise that the B&B was actually closed that weekend. However, she did say that she would open up if I really... More

The owner needs to attend charm school or get out of the business as she plainly does not like guests staying at her establishment. Although the place is clean, it is very dated and slightly musty. Having just completed 17 miles on the Dales Way myself and my 80 year old father were looking for a warm welcome, unfortunately the... More

Low Raisgill is a pleasant stop 3 or 4 miles on from Buckden and ideal if you want to bypass the 1 mile road detour off the path to stay at Ribblehead Viaduct (and I mile back the next morning!) and stay on the path to do a longer section to Dent or even Sedbergh, or walk the watershed alternative... We were absolutely ready for our stop at Low Raisgill, Susan was lovely, the bedroom we had was a double with en suite, and must say a bath, which was most welcome after our days walk. The garden was well kept and we sat out in the garden for a couple of hours. our bed was so comfy and we... More

Sue made us most welcome and provided great hospitality despite us turning up late and worrying her that we might be lost on the Fells! Our family/twin room was spacious, warm and comfortable with a proper en suite including bath. Breakfast was great and Sue provided a sandwich for lunch at a reasonable price. Washing and drying facilities were available... More

Wonderful stop on our traverse of the Dales Way. A true highlight, magnificent position, beautiful old cottage and most attentive host who provided wonderful hospitality, great breakfast and lunch for the next days walk. A highlight of a most enjoyable holiday, a truly memorable stay. Thank you Mrs Middleton!

Mrs Middleton does not blow her trumpet enough! She is a most attentive host and even drove us to the local pub for our dinner (of course we contributed to her petrol costs!). It was lovely walking to such a remote spot and yet being able to avail ourselves of the local amenities. Lovely breakfast, lovely pack lunches. Just a... More

Very nice and serviceminded hostess. She even picked up our bags half an hours walk from the B and B. Beatiful sorroundings and nice and quiet. Very remote.

We have visited Low Raisgill for many years now, and have always been made very welcome, fed well, and enjoyed the beautiful countryside around this lovely renovated barn! All the inside and outside of this property have been very tastefully restored with tender loving care! Langstrothdale which runs by this property is the most stunning river bed you could imagine... Beautiful old farmhouse with real fire, breakfast fir for a king with eggs laid by the hens in the field. Rooms tastefully decorated with tv, tea coffee etc. Separate living room and dining room. Mrs Middleton took us down to the pub and picked us up again. Stunning scenery, will be back! Mr & Mrs Smythe
