Low Raisgill is a pleasant stop 3 or 4 miles on from Buckden and ideal if you want to bypass the 1 mile road detour off the path to stay at Ribblehead Viaduct (and I mile back the next morning!) and stay on the path to do a longer section to Dent or even Sedbergh, or walk the watershed alternative... Sue made us most welcome and provided great hospitality despite us turning up late and worrying her that we might be lost on the Fells! Our family/twin room was spacious, warm and comfortable with a proper en suite including bath. Breakfast was great and Sue provided a sandwich for lunch at a reasonable price. Wonderful stop on our traverse of the Dales Way. A true highlight, magnificent position, beautiful old cottage and most attentive host who provided wonderful hospitality, great breakfast and lunch for the next days walk. A highlight of a most enjoyable holiday, a truly memorable stay. Thank you Mrs Middleton!

Mrs Middleton does not blow her trumpet enough! She is a most attentive host and even drove us to the local pub for our dinner (of course we contributed to her petrol costs!). Very nice and serviceminded hostess. She even picked up our bags half an hours walk from the B and B. Beatiful sorroundings and nice and quiet. Very remote.

We have visited Low Raisgill for many years now, and have always been made very welcome, fed well, and enjoyed the beautiful countryside around this lovely renovated barn! All the inside and outside of this property have been very tastefully restored with tender loving care! Langstrothdale which runs by this property is the most stunning river bed you could imagine... Beautiful old farmhouse with real fire, breakfast fir for a king with eggs laid by the hens in the field. Rooms tastefully decorated with tv, tea coffee etc. Separate living room and dining room. Mrs Middleton took us down to the pub and picked us up again. Stunning scenery, will be back! Mr & Mrs Smythe
