This is a remarkable place. Fiona and Chris are both caretakers and hosts, and they are also experienced farmers with a mission to create a lifestyle-experience for people who are interested in the Yorkshire Dales. With grant-funding they have developed a small environmental center where groups can visit and learn about their efforts to restore wild pastures, trees, and wetlands... More

We'd read that if you were walking the Dales Way that it was a good idea to book Nethergill Farm first and then book the rest of the accommodation. They were right! Four of us stayed here and were very glad that we had taken that advice. Nethergill is no ordinary farm - Fiona and Chris have devoted energy into... More

We stayed at Nethergill Farm on our third night of The Dales Way. Everything about our stay was high quality. Excellent homemade food, very comfortable bedroom which set us up for our walk the following day. Highly recommended.

We arrived early at Nethergill and were given a very warm welcome which was just what we needed on our Dales Way adventure. The rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean.Breakfast was first class as was the home made flapjack. We had the evening meal which although very tasty we did think was a little expensive but we accept that the... More

Fiona and Chris are not your usual sheep farmers. Every detail of the property is in sync with their attitude and education about design, sustainable agriculture, and eco-friendly life style. Elegant restored manor house, spotless barnyard, beautiful views, and creative business ideas. Nethergill is a warm and welcoming B&B. Hosts Fiona and Chris introduce an interesting, alternative way of farming.... More

A stunningly beautiful example of an operational, educational and environmentally sustainable farm, combined with clean and comfortable accommodations. What clear vision and execution! It's hard to believe that you are both part of this special Yorkshire world outside, while feel like it's another connected world altogether inside. Plus we must mention the truly wonderful assistant who treated us absolutely royally... More

Had a lovely stay here. Lovely room, lovely bath and very friendly house martins nesting in our bed room window. Thanks for such a nice stay after a hard days walking from Grassington. From the flapjacks on tea on arrival to the evening meal (great crumble) we would definitely recommend.

This is a fantastic B & B, we were made to feel very welcome, the setting is beautiful, the food was fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay. I stay in B & B's roughly around 30 times a year and this is definitely without doubt up there with the very best! Highly recommend this B & B first class!

My husband and I stayed here for one night whilst walking the Dales Way and it was the best night of the whole trip. We were warmly welcomed with flapjacks and our room was spotless, warm, clean and comfortable. The beds were great and we had a great night's sleep. I had a long hot soak in the bath -... More

We were walking the Dalesway and booked a room in the farm for one night en route. It is an educational experience staying on a working farm. Fiona met us with a pot of tea and delicious flapjack. Can I have the recipe Fiona? A hen followed us in the front door. On being shown to our room there were... More
