We stayed in room 3 which was lovely and spacious with original sash windows to let in light and air. The decor was pleasant with a nice clean fresh feel and nice large towels. The bathroom was large with a large and powerful shower, the only odd thing about the bathroom was the clear window panes so you have to... More

We had a perfect meal last week. The Coldstreamer really sees the sense of concentrating on fresh, well-matched, high-quality local ingredients, cooked superbly, and presented without "gastro" or "foodie" embellishments or fuss. The manager Derek Power was brilliant – helpful and pleasant, but never familiar. Wish we didn't live 350 miles away. Thank you chef, and thanks Derek. Keep up... More

Really good night stop within close proximity to Isles of Scilly ferry terminal Food really good with impressive support for gluten free diets! Staff very helpful making special arrangements for very early breakfast Great beers Front room very good but you need to be a sound sleeper to miss the church bell that likes to advise you of the time... Starting with the positive, the menu, food and wine was excellent. We could not fault it at all. The chef is clearly imaginative and talented. However, we found that the rooms did not live up to the standard downstairs. The window in our room was clearly rotten, I did not feel that the carpet was clean and it all felt... More

We were given a warm welcome by Vincent and shown to our spacious room on the first floor. We ate in on each night of our four-night stay and worked our way through a really very good pub dinner menu. We thoroughly enjoyed every meal – and the entertainment provided, thanks to Vincent’s Basque banter both with us and the... More

We stayed for three days and thoroughly enjoyed this pub. The food is exceptional. Local ingredients, interesting creations, always very tasty. The staff were amazing, with a great sense of humour and a warm-hearted welcome for us. Don't believe the reviews about the 'rude' service: they were written by people who just did not get the humour. Thanks again to... More

We stayed at The Coldstreamer for a friend's 50th birthday weekend in May and what a weekend! Amazing food, a friendly and charming place to stay, a real escape and hidden gem we are planning another visit back for another birthday celebration but equally want to stay in the winter months where we know it will have a wonderful warming... Stayed for 1 night and room overlooked the main village square. Room had lots of nice touches and bed was comfortable. Food was fantastic and great selection of beers and wines and it made for a very relaxed evening after a 6 hour car journey. Its a short car journey to Penzance and Long Rock (a rare year round Dog... More

Really enjoyed our stay again, although we were in a different room to our last visit. The room we had this time had a huge damp patch on the wall where a fire place had been boarded up, mould on the curtains and unfortunately had a noisy, quite smelly macerator on the toilet. Other than these point room was fantastic!... More

We stumbled across this little gem for a bite to eat last September and were so impressed with the quality of the food decided to book in for a bank holiday break away. Room rates a very reasonable £85 a night inc breakfast for the 2 of us and we were not disappointed! The hosts were great, really friendly and... More
