Good hotel to use to start or finish a trip on the Copper Canyon railway. Courtyard restaurant with added hummingbirds. Nice staff and a town on the doorstep to explore. Take time to go on a boat trip on the river. More

The hotel is beautiful, centrally located (they all are), the rooms are large and beautifully decorated....but, the beds are the hard Mexican you find everywhere, the room conviences are few, just a small envelope of shampoo and tiny bit of lotion. When we first arrived we naturally went to the courtyard which is beautiful (all Mexican hotels have a georgous... More

This is was our first night stay beginning an 11-day Copper Canyon adventure. Beautiful hotel and garden, with each room decorated very uniquely. Our room was fantastic....can't remember the room number, but I posted some pictures of it. The old hacienda grounds were fun to explore an I wish we had had more time to just chill there for awhile.... More

If you take the Chepe train through the Copper Canyon (and I strongly reccommend that you do!) get off at El Fuerte and spend a few days here! A beautifully restored 400 year old hacienda with great rooms, some with two beds, in a magnificent garden setting. The beds are comfortable, the rooms each have their own decorative theme and... The Torres family made us feel at home and welcomed us with great hospitality. The hotel is beautiful inside and out! Each room is decoraded with such unique style, and the bar area was pleasant to sit and enjoy the evening. Bonifacio's restaurant had amazing food! The langostinos dinner was delicious and the tapas al pesto are a must try... More

I'm so glad to see this hotel is the Number oNe choice for El Fuerte. The colonial buildings and gardens are absolutely beautiful and the rooms are decorated so tastefully. Sitting on the chairs outside the bar with a glass of wine was the perfect way to relax after a fantatic trip on the Copper Canyon raoliway. The owner was... More

We stayed in Room #6, which was the first room to the right as you enter the establishment. Our friend stayed in an inner room with a window to the courtyard. The hotel manager, Rosio, was there to greet us upon our arrival and made us feel like she was welcoming us to her home. While there is no formal... More

The Hotel Torres del Fuerte was absolutely wonderful. We were a group of 20 travel professionals and we all enjoyed our visit to this restored hacienda. The Torres family really made us feel like family with the warm greeting we received upon arriving. The rooms are all unique, the grounds are spectacular and the gourmet meals are delicious.
