We spent two nights at this very comfortable small hotel. The design and decorations tend to make you feel like you are living 18th century Mexican history. I went here with a group of friends, LIGA the flying doctors of mercy. We had a nice dinner and the staff were very hospitable. Food was reasonable priced and tasty. Pictures of 3 of the meals to follow. I had the stuffed avocados with shrimp. The other two dishes were sea bass and pork tenderloin.

We only had one night here, but found the room comfortable and beautifully decorated. The only drawback was that the room was slightly cold and damp. This 400 year old restored Spanish Colonial Hacienda has 25 uniquely decorated rooms, eclectic yet elegant. We stayed here in 2011 at the start and end of our tour of the Copper Canyon. Prior to getting onto El Chepe for our ride into Copper Canyon we stayed at this beautiful Hacienda. The structures were quite old but equipped with modern amenities. The moment you step through the gates of this hotel you know you are somewhere special. The grounds are beautiful. Each large room is uniquely, beautifully decorated. The restaurant feels like an expensive private dining room. The service was great. The food excellent. Unexpected luxury in a town that was the starting point of our Copper Canyon trip.
