We stayed here for two nights. Prior to the stay, the staff was very helpful with setting up tours of wineries in the area. The rooms are very modern and stylish. They have a rooftop terrace that was great for watching the sunsets. Compared to other places we stayed in the area, it was a little pricier, but it had... More

Only had two nights in this hard to find hotel....would have loved to stay longer. If you love modern architecture you will love this. Rooms are spacious and minimalist but very warm and cosy. Staff are great, breakfasts are a Spanish delight and costs are reasonable for this standard. To top it off, staff organised bookings at several local wineries...brilliant... More

I was so happy with the stay. The prices were relatively low for a hotel of this caliber. We also considered the Marques de Riscal hotel and I'm so happy with our decision. Pros - large, beautiful rooms - delicious free breakfast buffet - we were given a free upgrade upon arrival because the nicer rooms were free - free... More

This is an uber stylish hotel, with lovely polished concrete floor and rugs in the bedroom and great interior decor. It's design certainly gives the Frank Gehry Marques de Riscal hotel a good run for its's money. It's set in a quiet village and a great location for getting around Rioja. The food we ate in the restaurant was very... More

A quirky hotel in a small village in Rioja Alavesa, the architecture completely at odds with its location but somehow it works and fits in. Rooms are simply but stylishly furnished with very comfortable beds and amazing showers - we were with our two children so got interconnecting rooms, they loved the lighting. Ground floor areas and bar very stylish... More

Spent a single night here recently on a wine business trip while visiting a potential supplier. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised to find a hip boutique hotel quietly inserted in a sleepy Rioja village.....just a few miles from the Frank Gehry designed Marques de Riscal winery.......but I was.....and very pleasantly surprised. Small, but very well appointed. Friendly staff,... More

Hotel Viura is very well situated to traveling around to all the great towns in Rioja. The rooms were great and had a very cool modern aesthetic for being in a quaint old town. The food at the restaurant was excellent. I do not think there was one thing on the menu that did not look and taste exceptional. We... More

Stopped off at this hotel whilst on a car tour so didn't have a clue what to expect. Rather isolated so you would need a car to get around. Very unusual design, square boxes stacked lopsided. The interior was not the norm for a hotel reception but the staff were excellent. The passage way to out room looked like it... More

The part of the rioja region we went to wasn't as big as I thought it would be and Hotel Viura was perfectly situated between all the bodegas. We had a car (which I would recommend) so that we could get around. The hotel is situated next to an old town with a beautiful church so the atmosphere is nice... More

We make an annual trip to Southern Spain and are always looking for new places to stay en-route, so this was our first time at Viura. The hotel is located in beautiful countryside and is a very modern design with a good sized car park, where I felt the car would be secure. We received a nice welcome from reception... More
