This hotel is not just a hotel it's an event. The exterior- amazing daring architecture in a small Spanish town. The interior is more like an exhibition. The vinery the rooms and the restaurant- great breakfast by the way. Wouldn't mind staying there again

Hotel Viura is an architectural gem in the rioja region. Every area of the hotel is stunning to look at. The back wall of the front desk area is actually one of the stone walls of the city. All rooms are unique and beautifully decorated, even the cheapest ones which we had one of. The halls and doors of the... More

We booked this hotel through small luxury hotels to visit the bodegas in the region. Booking through SLH gets you a free upgrade to a larger room with a balcony. Prior to our arrival the hotel made reservations at all the bodegas of our choice so that we didn't bother with that, which was great service. The building and the... More

If you are looking for architecture, both are stunning in different ways. But Riscal is expensive, has attitude and most rooms are in a block of no architectural merit behind the hotel. Viura is friendly and a really nice hotel. All rooms are incorporated in the design. You really need to stay in a deluxe room or suite for the... More

Beautiful and cool boutique hotel with lovely interieur design. Great solution for a family with two rooms interconnecting by shared starter. Nice breakfast too. Only missed some life and restaurants in the town as experienced in Laguardia nearby.

This hotel is weird looking inside and out, but is weird in a good way. Situated in a small traditional town, its modern exterior is in total contrast. The room was great and had a fantastic view. Great location for Rioja wine visits. Would go back there again

We stayed here for 1 night, at arrival the reception was quite cold welcome. The girl at reception who was doing the checkinn was talking with her colleague in Spanish, she did not even bother to say have a seat. When we got the key for our room, we were disappointed, small window and quite small. I checked and found... More

Absolutely amazing experience. It was in the middle of nowhere but this hotel was in great shape. It was quirky but refined. The view from our room was just jaw dropping. It was so romantic that I didn't want to leave! The food at the restaurant was amazing too. I would definetly go back to this hotel.

The hotel represents the modern side of the Rioja area and that is fun. The village is surprising with 45 bodegas and 200 inhabitants. Small, feels very safe and is excellent located between Haro and Laguardia with many wineries of upper Rioja available. The front desk staff was very helpful with recommendations for some special wineries and in making a... More

The Hotel Viura was the second leg of our trip across Rioja. The stark reality of the modern, avant garde design is a sharp contrast to the quaintness of the surrounding village, the hotel is located a few miles from the equally striking design of the Marques De Riscal. After the trial and tribulations of the first few days in... More
