Spent a single night here recently on a wine business trip while visiting a potential supplier. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised to find a hip boutique hotel quietly inserted in a sleepy Rioja village.....just a few miles from the Frank Gehry designed Marques de Riscal winery.......but I was.....and very pleasantly surprised. Small, but very well appointed. Friendly staff,... More

Hotel Viura is very well situated to traveling around to all the great towns in Rioja. The rooms were great and had a very cool modern aesthetic for being in a quaint old town. The food at the restaurant was excellent. I do not think there was one thing on the menu that did not look and taste exceptional. We... More

Stopped off at this hotel whilst on a car tour so didn't have a clue what to expect. Rather isolated so you would need a car to get around. Very unusual design, square boxes stacked lopsided. The interior was not the norm for a hotel reception but the staff were excellent. The passage way to out room looked like it... More

The part of the rioja region we went to wasn't as big as I thought it would be and Hotel Viura was perfectly situated between all the bodegas. We had a car (which I would recommend) so that we could get around. The hotel is situated next to an old town with a beautiful church so the atmosphere is nice... More

We make an annual trip to Southern Spain and are always looking for new places to stay en-route, so this was our first time at Viura. The hotel is located in beautiful countryside and is a very modern design with a good sized car park, where I felt the car would be secure. We received a nice welcome from reception... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in August 2014. It's an amazing modern building hidden within a pretty Spanish village in the Rioja wine region. Every design aspect of the hotel is stunning, from the lobby, the bar, the downstairs restaurant (with oak wine barrels suspended from the ceiling), and the roof terrace to the bedrooms. Our bedroom... More

Very good quality hotel. Modern style in the middle of rooks region, in a very little village. Very nice room and very good restaurant, with very kind and gentle personnel. Worth to go and enjoy food and wine, maybe on the way to san Sebastian

Two nights with a gourmet experience dinner. Good service and a pleasant time, but... The bedrooms are what can be best described as prison chic - bare concrete walls and minimalist design. Not uninteresting on its own but there was one pet hate of mine - open plan bathroom! The sink and shower cabin are in a corner of the... More
