Unwelcoming, badly maintained and a bit odd. Pub closed at 8pm, all staff left and children and I only people left in building overnight. Breakfast poor, childrens asked for boiled egg not poached and told no we don't do boiled eggs

Stopped on the off chance on way back from Lyme Regis for breakfast . Will certainly go back again as not only very good value but well cooked and delicious. Coffee also of a very good standard and staff very friendly and cheerful.

The rooms are very functional and for the price you can't really complain. OK, the beds aren't that comfortable and certainly our room was close to a busy road but I was happy with it (I had ear-plugs).... especially as the food downstairs is so good. Hah, the breakfast certainly makes up for the bed! If you're staying here, make... More

I stayed here for a night with my daughter last week. We needed to stay near Burton Bradstock and this was very reasonable for a twin room. We checked into our room and went straight to dinner as they stop serving at 7.30 on a Sunday. We could have had leftover Sunday lunch but didn't fancy that and thought that... More

We have watched them develop this beautiful Inn over the past three years to vastly improve it's now lovely dining areas, outside seating areas and bar. The food is excellent... More

Popped in here for some food after a long day out. The place looked lovely and traditional from the outside whilst it was modern and nicely decorated on the inside. I ordered the homemade lasagne with salad and garlic bread and it was quite possibly the nicest meal I have had in a while. All food was very fresh and... More

Nice service, good food, excellent beer and loads of space for families complete with quiz cards and joke boxes on the tables - perfect for something more than functional on that long journey along the A35.
