I spent a long weekend in the Darzona cottage a few weeks after the new owners, Ross and Becky took over Pencuke Farm. Firstly - the cottages are really beautiful. We stayed in Darzona which is perfect for a couple or perhaps a couple with a baby or toddler. Ross showed me around the farm and all of the cottages... More

My partner and I spent an unforgettable week in Darzona in June 2014. Everything about the cottage, farm and the surrounding area were truly amazing and our host Chris could not have done anything more to improve our holiday experience. We really didnt want toleave. We have just booked today to return toDarzona for a week in the autumn. We... More

We had a wonderful time at Pencuke farm with the old and new owners. Our yurt was delightful, what a fantastic experience for us and the children. It was nice and warm with our log burner and we had everything we needed. We also had family staying in one of the cottages which where were very well equipped and comfortable.... More

Stayed in Darzona Cottage -1 very large bedroom! Very comfortable cottage with everything you need, incl Fridge, Freezer, a Microwave, Cooker with oven. TV and DVD. Acres of land to wander about on. Nearest pub is in Crackington Haven, about 5 mins in car. Good pub for drinks and grub. The fresh local mussels were excellent. Pencuke Farm has just... More

Agree with Treefrog review, its a nice site in a good location but feels very much like resting on past laurels with no real care shown at all during our visit. We stayed in a Yurt, having done so in Cornwall before on several ocassions Shower block facilities- Toilet seats cheap plastic and broken (two separate toilets had the cheap... More

We stayed in Skyber barn which is lovely, set out well and room enough for the 9 of us. It had everything we needed apart from somewhere outside to dry our washing. The cottage was generally clean but very very dusty in places such as under and behind the sofas which was a shame. The fridge door in the kitchen... More

Thank you for your review. We have just taken over the business and so its a good opportunity to address your points. We are actively working with our cleaning staff to make sure that thing like dusting under furniture is done on a weekly basis, we believe you would see a marked improvement if you were to return. In respect... More

We recently experienced a very enjoyable holiday in a yurt with our 2 young children. The farm is in a beautiful location with plenty of space for the children to let off steam in a friendly and safe environment. The yurt was generally well equipped and the log burner was a welcome treat when the temperature dropped in the evening.... More

Luxury yurts!? Or draughty, leaky, leaning, slug infested yurts? Where a cream tea consists of a few solid scones, a dollop of cream and some jam in little plastic tubs. Where the 'fantastic facilities' include broken toilet seats and showers that are cleaned just once a week. Where the '6ft wooden frame bed' has the cheapest, spring riddled mattress and... More

After issues with my original booking for a yurt (no fault of Chris and Kate the owners) we were offered three nights in Apple Cottage instead. This cottage is a beautiful building, with a fabulous open fire in the living room. A basket of logs was provided when we arrived, with a log store opposite the cottage if additional baskets... More

We just spent a mid week break at the roundhouse cottage, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage is small but has everything you need, and the enclosed garden was great for the dogs. The cottage has 2 good sized bedrooms , with electric heaters, and the beds were comfy with nice duvets. The only problem we encountered was that the... More
