We stayed here for one night. The lady on the front desk was friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and a reasonable size. Lots of tea/coffee biscuits, which was appreciated. We ate in the restaurant. Perfectly adequate though not brilliant, but what you would expect in a hotel of this price range, and saved us time looking for anywhere else.... More

I was up fro a friends birthday and looked on here for a reasonably price hotel in the vicinity. I was lucky to find this hotel, walking distance to Trent Bridge Cricket ground and the football grounds. It is on the Ratcliffe Road which is a main road into Nottingham so yes there is some traffic noise, but not enough... More

I like to think that I was the inspiration for Bear Grylls and Ray Mears as they honed their skills to be self-sufficient in the wild. I'm not one of those big-girls'-blouses who suffer a meltdown if their hotel room doesn't have Molton Brown naranji handwash or goose down pillows. But even this hotel was a match for my self-preservation... More

The welcome was ok but on entering the bedroom I noticed the carpet had lots of stains. Tried to have a shower but it didn't seem to work so I squeezed into the small bath. I soon found out afterwards that the toilet wasn't working as well! Credit due, having reported it when I went out for the evening it... More

Stayed at the Swans hotel from the 05/04/2014 to 06/04/2014 and was pleasantly surprised considering the reviews. Hotel is in a fantastic location, only 5 minutes from Nottingham City Centre and very reasonably priced. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and were directed to the back of the hotel where free parking was available. The receptionist Magdalena was very... More

The professional photo must have been taken either when there was a 10 second gap in the continuous traffic when no visitors were parking in front on the hotel, or the police had closed the road for some reason. We booked this hotel at the last minute, so we had no access to a room at the back of the... More

Tiny room, couldnt swing a cat round in there, Bathroom wasnt in great condition either, terrible location, rubbish parking, more like a b&b than a hotel. One of the worst places ive stayed in whilst ive visited Nottingham. Arrived back from the town around 1am to find the front doors locked, rang the door bell, nobody in sight, all lights... More

We have stayed here on several previous occasions and have always enjoyed a comfortable happy stay. This trip was no different. We are welcomed to the hotel like old friends and nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Swans has gradually had a refurb these last 12 months. All rooms have a new tv, bedrooms redecorated & new blinds. The staff are still lovely and the guvnor still fitness mad! The menu has been updated and chef has updated it with some of the popular specials especially bread n butter pudding. Some bathrooms still need a bit... More

Enjoyed a stay here for two nights recently. Offers reasonable priced accommodation in a very good location to sporting quarter of the city.A good brisk 15 minute walk to centre of Nottingham if up for working off very good breakfast on offer here. Good variety of options at breakfast served by friendly staff. But any staff encountered across the hotel... More
