Stayed last night on a stag do, not expecting anything great, however this place is more hostel than hotel! Very very dated, poor decor, awful mattress, dirty walls. booked twin rooms ended up in rooms with 4 beds. English breakfast extra £4, wouldn't bother nip to Maccy D's across the road. The place really is poor value for money. Spend... More

Worst place I may have stayed in! We were in a twin room in the 'loft'. The beds were very uncomfortable and a little lumpy. The ensuite was so small that you couldn't sit on the toilet straight, and there was no working loo roll holder, the shower was held in place with duct tape, the water took forever to... More

6 of us needed somewhere to stay relatively close to the city centre at short notice for a night out. This place ticked all the boxes. It was cheap & cheerful. You are within a 2 minute walk of the cricket ground & the Forest ground with a 24hour Macdonalds just across the road. Taxi to the city centre is... More

It was ok, could do with some modernisation. Room was a bit small and compact but for the price and location it did the job as a place to sleep for the night, not sure I would like to spend a couple of nights there though!

This was the worst hotel I have stayed in ever ! Where to start well firstly we were greeted by a receptionist who could not have been colder than a block of ice, there was a communication problem or at least I thought there was until I heard her talking to and understanding another guest. This Romanian woman was very... More

Upon arrival we were met by a female looking faulty towers person very abrupt with a attitude problem we were shown to our grotty room and she very quickly left to enter another guests room An hour later she emerged looking like a scarecrow . We later found out she had become friendly with one of the workmen staying there... More

To begin my review I would like to make clear to any potential visitors to the Grantham Hotel that it is certainly not a hotel. Think of it more as a guesthouse that was built in the early twentieth century, decorated in the early nineteen-seventies and has had very little else done to it since. This may sound really terrible... More
