Went there for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, the setting is absolutely beautiful, by a small pond with ducks and swans and beautiful green fields, lots of people there too with dogs and catered for children with a children's menu and toys to keep them entertained! The staff were really lovely as well and the Sunday roast meal was huge... More

We arrived at 7/7.30 and the restaurant was busy. The landlady found us a table despite not having a reservation and a big function on. The food was fresh, hot and very tasty. I had an 8oz Sirloin with chunky chips, and it was a large portion!! Lovely place and staff, and the surroundings were beautiful. Sadly we were on... More

The hotel staff were very helpful and attentive, but the hotel itself had a few problems. The room we stayed in was The Burford room , a family room. The room was hot, and needed a fan to be on , the windows were doubled glazed, and could not be opened. The reception area was a room to one side... More

Camping down the road on what proved to be one of the wettest nights of yet another glorious Summer, we were glad we'd had the foresight to book a table here (dad to the rescue again). The place was busy albeit there were two birthday parties going on in the bar, but that didn't detract from the experience. We had... More

I stayed here last night with my sister as my parents stayed with friends. I absolutely loved it! Beautifully picturesque. Nice big garden out the back with a little lake with swans and ducks. We were upgraded to a beautiful room facing out on the garden with a nice big bathroom with 2 sinks. The bed both my sister Rois... More

A one night stay, wish it had been longer. We stopped for the evening on our way to Bath. The property exceeded our expectations. Cotswold quaint with a comfortable room for three. (Traveling with a teenager). An exceptionally warm welcome from Joseph in the restaurant, who was most knowledgeable of the food menu, local beer, and the surrounding area. The... More

As promised we returned to the inn, staying again in The Stables. As it is now summer we had the opportunity to explore the quant local villages that have to be seen to be believed. We and our spaniel were welcomed everywhere, at the Inn of course but also at the pubs, hotels and tourist information centres in the area.... More

Poor service matched by poor food. The staff were very unwelcoming and will happily ignore you all day long if there is a local to speak with instead. The food was nasty and had clearly been sat around for some time before it was served. If you are driving through this area looking for somewhere to eat... Keep driving.

So many over hyped, over rated and over priced restaurants in the Cotswolds how wonderful to discover this lovely unspoilt warm and welcoming small hotel and restaurant over looking a pretty lake and beautiful gardens. We were made to feel incredibly special and loved every minute there .The Breton Chicken Homemade Pastry Pie was superb and The Pan Fried King Prawns... More
