We stayed at Waihi Beach Lodge for 6 nights. Greg and Ali are exceptional hosts and their attention to detail is second to none. Freshly baked muffins (different flavour every day), continental or cooked brekky. We stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary and found a bottle of champagne and chocolates waiting for us when we arrived :) Every day... More

My wife and I traveled to New Zealand for a month in early 2014, staying exclusively in pre-selected B&B's and lodges. The Waihi Beach Lodge was among our favorite and most memorable stays thanks to a great location on the southern Coromandel Peninsula and, most importantly, how comfortable we felt thanks to our hosts, Greg & Ali. This is a... More

Fantastic hosts, exceptionel Kiwi hospitality, very nice folk to deal with and to talk to. They truly do have a laundry fairy, self baked muffins and good tips for sightseeing and wining and dining in the neighbourhoud. The Flat White in Waihi Beach is really good. Thanks Greg and Ali, we will remember you!

Greg and Ali have a wonderful location two minutes walk from the vast sands of Waihi Beach. A very comfortable room with an excellent breakfast on the first floor deck overlooking the beach. First class hospitality and great advice on our tour of the Coromandel.

We found our stay at Waihi Beach absolutely perfect. The facilities were excellent as were the hosts Ali and Greg. They catered for our every need even organising transport when we wished to dine in the centre of this wonderful area. A great stay. We would thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting to have a perfect holiday including home comforts.

I had a fabulous stay at Waihi Beach Lodge in March. I can't say enough about the hospitality of Greg and Ali. As a young, solo overseas traveller, I felt more like I was visiting a cool aunt and uncle than staying at a lodge in a foreign country. Accommodations are second to none and the beach is absolutely fantastic.... More

The welcome was warm and genuine, it was late & dark. I had called to stay we would be late arrivals, which didn’t faze our hosts Greg & Ali, we still got a full tour of the property, how the lift worked so Sue could miss the stairs to use the guest areas & for breakfast, the range of books... In February 2014 we travelled around North and South Island, New Zealand. Our welcome at the Waihi Beach Lodge was very friendly indeed. Our hosts, Greg and Ali were most welcoming, offered advice on local attractions and their restaurant recommendations were 'spot on'. Our room was clean and spacious with an excellent bathroom. Breakfast was a delight. The chance to... More

We truly enjoyed meeting Greg & Ali and staying in their beautiful beach side home! We stayed at the B&B during our honeymoon and felt pampered from the moment we arrived with a bottle of bubbles and chocolates in our room. They have a beautiful home with great access to the beach, beautiful views, and wonderful rooms. Breakfast every morning... More

Fantastic start to our trip at the Waihi Beach lodge. Greg and Ali were excellent hosts and happy to recommend local restaurants and trips. The lodge is superbly located next to a beautiful beach. Rooms really clean and spacious. Breakfast delicious especially the home made museli. Would definitely stay here again!
