Greg and Ali were great hosts. We loved Waihi Beach, the village was lovely and we walked from the lodge into the village each evening for our meals. We borrowed Greg and Ali's bikes to cycle to Anzac Bay, enjoyed a wonderful couple of hours on Orokawa Bay completely on our own and bathed in the hot springs at Athenree.... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights here at the start of our tour of NZ. After two 13 hour flights, a 3 hour delay in Hong Kong and and a 2 hour drive from Auckland we were exhausted. We were welcomed as though we were old friends and felt as thought we had really arrived home! The room and... More

After a long flight our first stay in New Zealand was the Waihi Beach Lodge. We stayed there for 2 nights and had an excellent experience. The location was very close to the sea where we could walk the beach and enjoy a nice sunset. The accommodation was nice, clean and had everything you could need. There was even a... More

How to rate an amazing place managed by very special people? Greg and Ali are a fantastic couple that pay attention to details and make your stay a memorable moment. We loved the chat, the breakfast and the accommodations. Could no be better. Many thanks for the comments we were together. We will never forget.

To meet Ali and Greg for the first time was like meeting old "long time no see" friends. After 40 hours of travelling from Sweden and 2 hours concentrated driving on the wrong side of the road that was exactly what we needed! During our visit we learnt a lot about NZ, met and made friends with the neighbours and... More

I stayed at this wonderful B&B for 2 nights and could have stayed for months! Ali and Greg were wonderfully warm and inviting people. The room was amazing. I stayed in the Marlin room that looked out over the beach. I am a bit of a neat freak and I could tell that Ali was as well! Not one speck... More

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon for 2 nights at the end of January. Ali and Greg were amazing hosts! It felt like we were guests in their home rather than customers. We stayed in the beach suite and it was lovely and large with a washing machine! The breakfast choices were excellent with Ali's homemade muffins... More

Great location. Waihi is very good place: long, beautiful beach; places to walk, good restaurants short distance and good access to Auckland,Rotorura, Coromandel. The lodge is located in perfect place, 5 min walks to the beach, 15 min by bikes to the centre. The thoughtful attitude to guests. We felt as we staid at parents home : homemade bakery,a cozy... We stayed for 2 Nights and enjoyed very much. The studio was charming, large and very clean. The owners, Ali & Greg where the best hosts we had on our trip. Very lovely people and also very generous. They share the balcony with the guests for having breakfast, we enjoyed staying there and did feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast... More

We stayed 4 days with Greg and Ali over the Christmas time. The room was perfect - clean and elegant- and the breakfast the best one we have got during our trip. The beautiful beach is just a couple of meters across the street. Greg and Ali are lovely people, very dedicated. All trip tips they gave to us were... More
