What a wonderful place to stay. So good ,we extended 2 extra days. Ali & Greg were the absolute perfect hosts,& their breakfasts were amazing. My 13 year old daughter & i had a very quiet, clean,& well appointed room, that we were able to relax in .I can recommend Waihi Beach Lodge for people that are looking for top class accomodation... Waihi Beach Lodge is located very close to the beach, just outside the town centre and on a very quiet road; a good location. It's a very nice B&B but is made special by the hosts Ali and Greg, who could not have been more welcoming or helpful. They made our stay really enjoyable. The room was comfortable and a... More

We received a really warm welcome from Greg and Ali and a number of good tips for things to do locally. It's a lovely, clean boutique hotel with some gorgeous food smells wafting through. We failed to make it to breakfast both days but I've no doubt the food would have been high quality. The sea is about a 5... More

Ali and Greg hosted us and three teenagers just after New Year. Waihi Beach is a great place for a short break. The lodge is very comfortably furnished, with every detail thought of. wifi etc. The teenagers were treated to their own seaview suites. Ali and Greg are terribly warm and welcoming. They gave us plenty of help with planning... More

Our 2 nights were prebooked by a great travel organisation in London called Bridge & Wickers but we did not really know what to expect . We were very warmly welcomed by Greg & Ali and had really comfortable rooms which had everything one would need .The breakfasts are enough to keep you going til Dinner ! It was much... More

I can't think of a better place to stay during our first two nights of a three-week New Zealand vacation. Our room was clean, comfortable, and within easy walking distance of the beach. Hosts Greg and Ali provided helpful advice about things that might interest us in the general area as well as during the remainder of our New Zealand... More

My husband and I randomly selected to stay at the Waihi Beach Lodge while exploring New Zealand. We wanted to be on or close to the Coromandel Peninsula. Waihi Beach on paper looked like just the right place. No sooner did we book and we received a welcome message from hosts Greg and Ali with lots of information about things... More

We stayed three nights in this well-appointed, clean, comfortable B&B and were treated to the best in Kiwi hospitality. Greg and Ali were extremely generous and helpful and we really felt at home. Delicious home-made jams and warm fruit muffins featured in our copious breakfasts and nutty meringues were a welcome addition to our afternoon tea. They suggested visits for... More

We stayed with Greg and Ali while on a Harley trip. We were very nicely welcomed, it is so much nicer than to stay in an anonimous hotel. The place was clean, the bedroom large and the breakfast nicely set up . We were there for one night in late october just after a memorable rugby worldcup final! We would... More

Our Host Greg and Ali went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. My wife even managed to get some recipes she wanted from Ali. These are excellent hosts that are knowledgable about the area, and most of all fun to be around. The accommodations are very nice with all that you need for a comfortable... More
