We are self sufficient travellers. If we could find accommodation like this everywhere we went, it would make us very happy. The facilities are great - very well appointed kitchen & plenty of room elsewhere. We highly recommend Beaches Motel.

I have stayed at this motel my last four trips to New Zealand. my grand daughters and I vote it our favorite place to stay. the owner Steve is a delight, always a pleasure to deal with, even changed my flat tyre!. Across the street from access to the beautiful beach, the motel is fairly small but units are absolutely... More

A chance discovery after driving through then village trying to find somewhere to stay. All the positive comments below are appropriate_ friendly, clean, convenient, comfortable, close to the beach. We received good recommendations for dinner at Flat White Cafe, within walking distance. Cannot speak highly enough of the friendly approach of the owners.

It is not the most modern, nor is it flash and the taps/hot water were installed by someone with a good sense of humor, but from the very first contact to the moment we left I was impressed by the owner, Steve, who had a relaxed style of hospitality but still gave terrific service. The motel s really well sited... More

We stayed here after going to the x2 camping grounds and inquiring about the price's of self container rm's/units.... This motel was far cheaper.. One street back from beach, with easy access.... Room's were clean and tidy, even a couple of tradesmen were in rm next to us... The owner was very helpful (an English/London expat), the r'ms soon filled up... More

My Partner and I decided last minute to stay overnight at Waihi Beach - didn't pre book. Looked around and through all accommodation options. The other options were very expensive and not intimate at all (campsite cabins). Took a punt on this motel and had a fantastic experience. Spacious unit, beautifully clean, all mod cons, informative and helpful Manager, and... More

Our party of three adults booked this motel at the Information Centre at Whangamata at the end of a long drive from Auckland via the Coromandel Peninsula, so it was a "this place has a vacancy, we are tired, let's go for it". Great place. Two bedrooms. Good size kitchen and living/dining room. A pleasant two minute walk to the... More

We stayed in one bedroom unit number 1 which faces the very busy road. If you are not used to road noise request another room away from the road as the road traffic never lets up! Unit very basic but seemed clean, however a large cockroach visited us during the night! However we have them at home so it didnt... More

We stayed for two nights in mid-December. Having stayed at Waihi Beach numerous times as a child, I knew what to expect from the town and the beach - it's a fantastic beach town. The motel was great - spacious bedrooms, very clean, modern appliances. Would recommend to anyone!
