I booked a room via the web, and had no idea what to expect, especially knowing how small the community is. Fantastic beachfront location and views, incredibly spacious and furnished room, super friendly staff, and a lovely surprised that wifi and breakfast was included in the room charge. The evening meal was also a super surprise, especially being a dairy-free vegetarian...... More

The resort was generally not very good and room was terrible. Also there was huge pressure to write. Positive review which is not acceptable. The room amenities were average with cleaners smoking in and around the entry doors to the pool. It seems that there is some renovation in progress but that doesn't help if the staff are slack and... Hi Seatraveller, I am sorry to hear of your disappointing experience last year in November. You be assured that since we took over the resort ownership and brought in a new management team (around the same time last year) that many changes have been implemented to align the service and standard with the guest expectations of a 4 star property. I have just come back home from 4 days away up far north. We stayed 2 nights 3 days in the Taipa resort (one day elsewhere), and absolutely loved every minute of it. The room we stayed in was a one bedroom suite beach front. This has been refurbished and is well presented. all new kitchen, Bathroom, smart TV. And... More

Pleasantly surprised how new and well equipped the room was. We had everything we need in the kitchen incl. a dish washer. Room were well designed with your own deck and good privacy. Check-in was a breeze and the complementary continental breakfast was decent. Beautiful location and just a stroll away from the beach and the marina.

My partner and I stayed in a poolside room. The downsides: 1. We stayed during the peak season over New Year's Day so it was overpriced for what we got. The room we had wasn't refurbished so the quality of our amenities were quite poor. Bed was very uncomfortable and sunken in the middle and the couch was old and... More

Location: Situated in a great location with sea views (not from our room but in general), this was set to be a great stay. Breakfast: First morning the coffee was great (long black) as too was breakfast (French Toast & Eggs Benedict). Second morning we were forgotten as a result of tour buses being prioritized over guests. When the food... More

Hi Jakes1NZ, Our apologies for your experience not being as great as we strive to make it at Reia Taipa. The two coaches stopping in during breakfast was completely unexpected and unplanned. Our in-house guests do get priority, however after that morning we have taken steps to to ensure that there are staff dedicated to serving only our in-house guests... More

We enjoyed our two night stay very much. On arrival we were warmly welcomed, registered and shown to our apartment very quickly. Our apartment was excellent, spacious and spotlessly clean and with all the amenities that we needed. The front terrace, with adequate furniture, was great and the beach and sea just a few metres away.......perfect! We enjoyed the swimming... More

We stayed here as had a grabone voucher. Our room was not a refurbished one but was good enough for what we wanted and for the price... We had a sea front view which was stunning. Kitchen had every thing we needed and great to have a tall fridge/freezer as we where catching lots of fish and had the room... More

We stayed at this 'resort' three years ago and it was appalling. The rooms were very worn, damaged walls and terrible conditions in the bathroom, furniture broken...the works. We wanted a budget holiday and found a bargain for this resort on Grabone and reluctantly decided to give it another go. It was massively improved. Our room was beautifully refurbished, the... More

We come from Russell, Bay of Islands and decided on the spur of the moment to go up to Taipa, what an absolute gem this resort is. Only stayed 1 night, Sunday and from the minute we walked through the doors we were greeted and treated well by the staff. Our beachside room 719 was wonderful, we made use of... More
