Wanted to write a review because the customer service here has been brilliant. The lady on reception and Gavin the ute driver/handyman were so friendly and helpful for our stay we ended up staying 3 nights instead of one. The site itself is lovely with views across the estuary. Beautiful when the tide is in. We saw and heard a... More

Great campsite, clean and well run and close to the sailing club where we were racing. Spotless kitchen was well equipped and plenty of hot water. Friendly staff. Only disturbance was a noisy duck but otherwise good sleeps. Would definitely stay again.

Glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Sorry about the duck, you are lucky the Quail family was away for the weekend because there are over 20 babies with Mum and Dad. More

I stayed in a waterfront campsite with a group of friends for the Waitangi weekend. Despite it being the busiest weekend of the year the staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The area outside the campsite was very congested but inside was still relaxed, quiet and safe with added security at the gate. It's an excellent location for the... More

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us during Waitangi Weekend. This is one of the busiest weekends up here and The Waitangi Festival is enjoyed by all, this year they say over 30,000 visitors came to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. More

My partner, our fur baby (sml terrier) and I are avid glampers :). This is our first stay in Paihia. Here is our campsite review: - no water at sites (this is a massive negative in our books) - lovely / friendly staff - Small campsites - Very clean and tidy - Only two showers for over 100 sites! -... Thank you for your review - we would just like to point out that there are actually two Amenity Blocks at Waitangi Holiday Park not just two showers for 100 guests. Most of our sites are 9 metres by 8 metres which is a good size. Next time let us know and we can move you to a bigger site.... More

Thank you for staying with us. We have an issue with spiders around the area, the staff try to brush them away often. They are going to try better. We have been gradually working with new signage and thank you for letting us know that we need to put some in the kitchen to remind people there is a separate... More

Stayed there 4 nights on the water over the Waitangia holiday period. Hosts were very accommodating. Let me use their computer in the back office to book tours, book buses, check email, ect. Very helpful in guiding me around town and suggesting places to go. Let me keep my bag in their office while I was out and about. View... More

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. The kitchens do get stocked, but the items seem to walk out the door, so we keep spares in the kitchen in case guests ask for a loan. That way we do not lose as many pots etc. We do try to please. More

After camping in relatively simple DOC campgrounds for a few weeks, this campground on the banks of the fascinating Waitangi River(watching the tide coming in and out was a real delight) was a taste of relative luxury. Great location, only 15 minutes walk from the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, 25 minutes walk from Paihia and the ferry wharf to Russell, and... More

It was nice you came to stay with us, we understand the DOC camps are value for money, but every couple of days it is nice to have a hot shower, good cooking facilities and get the washing done. More

Yes there are still great fishing and kai picking spots around the Bay of Islands. We always welcome family groups. The best family time can be when adults and children can get out together kai picking. More

We camped here for three days this summer and absolutely loved it! It is set overlooking the estuary of the Waitangi River and is very close to the main shopping area of Paihia and Te ti Beach. Facilities were very clean and nice to use and other campers very friendly. We loved it and will definitely return!

Very relaxing, so everyone tells us. Mind you that is what a holiday is about and we are please that our guests feel relaxed when they leave the Bay of Islands More

as a family we felt secure at this holiday camp. The hosts were informative and welcoming. We felt safe enough to leave our campgear and tour the surrounding areas for the day. Facilities were clean and in great working condition. Kitchen/lounge/laundry facilities were well appointed and if you had been camping rough for a few days elsewhere this is a... More
