Stayed whilst walking the South Downs Way with friends. Was welcomed by Louise who really could not do more for us. The rooms are modern and clean and there is an excellent shower. Not to mention we left after being very well fed. Highly recommend.

The white house is beautiful. Very stylish, impeccably clean with a lovely bathroom. We had fresh flowers in our room on both days. Great snacks, water and the breakfast was fresh and never ending... Just what we needed. Both Dave and Louise were very welcoming and relaxed nothing was too much hassle ...we didn't want to leave. Thank you for... More

We were walking the South Downs Way with a friend. Louise was very welcoming when we arrived, the room was sylishly decorated and cosy with a pleasant view over fields. There was a good pub, the Plough, just a couple of minutes a way, where we had a good (though not cheap) meal. The close by M&S was very handy... More

I hadn't initially planned to stay in Pyecombe whilst walking the SDW having read that there was a lot of traffic noise from the two main roads nearby but after struggling to find dog friendly accommodation elsewhere within the vicinity and having read the other reviews decided to stay at The White House and I am so glad I did!... After 20+ miles on our feet, we arrived at The White House in the dark to an extremely friendly welcome. We were offered hot drinks on arrival, and were then shown to our gorgeous, stylish room where all sorts of treats awaited us - tea, coffee, chocolate, biscuits etc. After a hot bath and a quick meal in the pub... We arrived here walking the South Downs way (well I was driving it because I had v bad sprain to my ankle, but husband and dog were walking it!). We had the Most wonderful welcome from louisa with tea and cakes and she fussed over us as if we were long lost friends. Our bedroom was beautiful and the bathroom... More

Arriving after a demanding day's walk on the SDW, I was delighted to find this bed and breakfast right on the trail in Pyecombe. Louise - a bundle of energy - was extremely welcoming and my room pristine and comfortable. The hot shower, and cold beverage she promptly tendered, were just what the doctor ordered. Although I had planned to... More

Dave and Lou really are excellent hosts and can't recommend this BnB enough. I was cycling the SDW and arrived after a tough 35 miles. Before I'd got off my bike the hose was ready and the kettle was on. Just what the doctor ordered and enjoyed my tea while sitting on a comfy cushion on their welcoming deck. After... More

Our 4th stay at The White House in as many years. Dave and Louise are always the perfect hosts. Safe storage for bikes, a welcome cup of tea and cake on arrival, and a hot shower. Just what you need after a long days ride. Also an excellent breakfast to help us on our way to Eastbourne. We will continue... More

We stayed here at the start of August after coming down for a friend's wedding. Louise and Dave were great; really welcoming and approachable to chat to but also left us to settle in. The bed was big and comfortable whilst the room felt private and nicely furnished. Cooked breakfast and fruit was delicious in the morning, especially after the... More
