Another warm welcome from Louise and Dave. Our 5th year in a row at The White House. A perfect location for our overnight stop on our annual SDW bike ride. A warm welcome, hot shower, comfy bed after 65 miles on a bike from Winchester and a lovely breakfast. Also a pub 2 minutes away for an evening meal. Perfect!... More

I turned up bedraggled and sore after walking 70+ miles of the South Downs Way in two days, to be welcomed warmly by Louise the landlady and a cold beer pressed straight into my hands. Result! After a hot bath to ease my aches and pains, a great night's sleep in a really comfortable bed followed. I had a very... More

We stayed with Louise as our son was getting married near by, we were made so welcome. The White House is a wonderful place, would recommend it to everyone. It was as is we were staying with our own family. Nothing was too much trouble for Louise.

Stayed whilst walking the South Downs Way with friends. Was welcomed by Louise who really could not do more for us. The rooms are modern and clean and there is an excellent shower. Not to mention we left after being very well fed. Highly recommend.

The white house is beautiful. Very stylish, impeccably clean with a lovely bathroom. We had fresh flowers in our room on both days. Great snacks, water and the breakfast was fresh and never ending... Just what we needed. Both Dave and Louise were very welcoming and relaxed nothing was too much hassle ...we didn't want to leave. Thank you for... More

We were walking the South Downs Way with a friend. Louise was very welcoming when we arrived, the room was sylishly decorated and cosy with a pleasant view over fields. There was a good pub, the Plough, just a couple of minutes a way, where we had a good (though not cheap) meal. The close by M&S was very handy... More

I hadn't initially planned to stay in Pyecombe whilst walking the SDW having read that there was a lot of traffic noise from the two main roads nearby but after struggling to find dog friendly accommodation elsewhere within the vicinity and having read the other reviews decided to stay at The White House and I am so glad I did!... After 20+ miles on our feet, we arrived at The White House in the dark to an extremely friendly welcome. We were offered hot drinks on arrival, and were then shown to our gorgeous, stylish room where all sorts of treats awaited us - tea, coffee, chocolate, biscuits etc. After a hot bath and a quick meal in the pub... Arriving after a demanding day's walk on the SDW, I was delighted to find this bed and breakfast right on the trail in Pyecombe. Louise - a bundle of energy - was extremely welcoming and my room pristine and comfortable. The hot shower, and cold beverage she promptly tendered, were just what the doctor ordered. Although I had planned to... More
