The 'grand old lady' is up and running again albeit sans dining room. Loos for Ladies & Gents across the hall. Sunroom with internet access & a morning cuppa a further few steps away. We just wanted an inexpensive, but nice, get away for one night. Had a stop over at Helensville,Mid Nov great place for the beginning or end of your holiday. We decided to have our dinner at The Grand Hotel - "let me tell you "Grand" it is from the moment you walk in to the service / meal / decor, a must for any visitor. Didier & Partner are very welcoming....

Stopped by here for a night and was pleasantly surprised by the old town hotel original feel to the place. Didier and his wife gave a warm welcome. Food was particularly good and presented in a charming setting. The room was clean and some nice touches. For $65, a great value. Internet excellent. Breakfast outstanding.
