I have stayed at this accommodation twice, each time fo a week, and I have no hesitation whatsoever recommending it. The owner is pleasant and welcoming and the facilities are first class. The property is located in a quiet and rural setting and offers value for money. Jim Black.

What a fabulous place to stay, Caroline was the perfect host. This is our 2nd visit and it is such a warm and welcoming place to stay, we had a superb evening meal and excellent breakfast, the bedrooms are very comfortable and the eclectic decor only adds to the ambiance. We will return.

We stayed here earlier this year so this was our second visit to Caroline's lovely home - and it was every bit as good as the first time. Welcomed back like old friends we enjoyed all the comforts of the accommodation and the hospitality of our charming hostess. Despite having only got back back from holiday that morning, everything was... More

What a charming place and very committed hostess. Our first stay at the Dean will be followed by more visits soon. The perfect place for our visits to nearby family, a sumptuous room - sleeping like on a cloud. Crowned with a very generous breakfast with all trimming, even for the vegan in our family. A level of service and... More

Enjoyed a 4th stay at The Dean in July 2015. Made very welcome once again by Caroline, who is a great host and nothing is too much trouble for her. Delicious breakfasts as usual. Very spacious bedroom overlooking the golf course, spotlessly clean with a large en-suite bathroom and floor to ceiling heated towel rail. We will definitely be returning... More

We came to stay for a friend's daughter's wedding and were given a beautifully decorated and very comfortable en suite bedroom. We had an excellent supper on our first evening and top class breakfast on the two mornings that we stayed. There were delightful walks on the beach two minutes away and we were able to leave our dogs in... More

This place is a real gem. Our hostess made us very welcome, like valued friends she'd invited to stay and when it came time to go we were very sorry to leave. Caroline has a great sense of style and The Dean reflects this in the small touches and thoughtful choices of furniture that transform a large house into a... More

Caroline Scott was in a word "insufferable". She complained every time we asked for help which was 3 times and actually screamed at me and my girlfriend. Strange because everyone we met in Scotland were so truly helpful and friendly. The room was fine but the breakfast average at best. One burnt sausage with an egg and small tomato. We... More

Stayed here for one night prior to playing at Longniddry Golf Course before moving on elsewhere to golf. Despite a hiccup with the online booking agent and subsequent last minute room change (with profound apologies from owner Caroline) we had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The gorgeous bedroom and super comfortable huge bed had everything you needed and... More

We booked a weekend following a repeat of the Four in a Bed programme on Channel 4. And we were delighted with the welcome reception by the owner Caroline. A very gracious host. We occupied Room 2. The Bed was a super king size and extremely comfortable. The bed linen was superb. However, we did notice that Caroline appeared to... More
