We stayed with Caroline at The Dean in May 2014 as it was close to the Longniddry Golf Course where my son was participating in the European Golf Junior Championships. Going back again this May, looking forward to Caroline and her fantastic hospitality !

A short break visiting the Fringe to celebrate our Daughters 18th, whilst she stayed in town we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Dean. A proud house in lovely gardens, all very homely. As is often the case it is the warmth do the welcome which makes a short break and Caroline was such a warm and generous host,... More

We stayed 2 nights at The Dean after walking part of the John Muir Way. Caroline and her dog welcomed us immediately when we arrived. Caroline provided juice to help refresh us after our long day. Our stay was unique because it had some of the amenities of home we missed after being on the Way for so long. The... More

We really enjoyed out stay at The Dean. Mrs Scott made us feel very comfortable especially our three young children who at times can be quite boisterous and loud but she was very kind towards them at all times. As there were five of us we had the whole of the top floor which included three bedrooms and a bathroom,... More

We had a lovely stay in the Dean. Mrs Scott was very Nice and friendly and we felt very welcome. Our room was romantic, beautiful and clean. The bathroom was large with everything we needed and more. The breakfast was just lovely with homemade marmelade and fresh fruit. We would certainly choose the Dean again if we would go to... More

Stayed for 3 nights. Very comfortable king-sized bed, spacious room with warm en-suite bathroom-both spotlessly clean. Very peaceful with great views over the adjoining golf course and The Dean's well kept gardens. Vast choice for breakfast at any time you choose. Idyllic location. Very good rail and bus links to Edinburgh (X24 bus stops at end of Dean Road and... More

We had two nights at The Dean bought for us as a gift & WOW what a choice it was. Having spent many years in hotel management I'm always amazed how places over look the small things, but in Caroline's case she didn't miss a thing. The welcome we received was lovely & The Dean is a wonderful place in an... More

Three American friends and I stayed with Caroline Scott at the Dean in November. The rooms are large, sunny, beautifully decorated and very, very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and included fresh fruit, croissants, cereals in addition to the more traditional and well prepared cooked items. What sets the Dean apart is Caroline. Her warmth and kind hearted enthusiasm for welcoming... More
