we were running out of accommodation options when we were directed to Allanfauld Farm by the coachman hotel. We were warmly welcomed by Libby and settled into a fabulous room in the main house. In the morning we were treated to a great breakfast before we continued our journey but the memory of Allanfauld farm will remain one of the... More

We stayed here for three nights in April and thoroughly enjoyed it. My son loved playing with the dogs, and the fresh air. The first night there we where going to sleep to the sound of the cows mooing in the background. It was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious. The hostess was delightful nothing too much trouble.

Having read previous reviews about the steep hill we, six weary walkers took a taxi to the farm from the Union Canal. We were warmly welcomed by Libby who settled us in and made a dinner reservation for us. Family members drove us to the restaurant and collected us afterwards. Accommodation was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. We were... More

Fantastic hosts: We arrived 7 soggy, muddy & tired cyclists having made it along the John Muir Way from Helensburgh. Don't be deterred by the steep hill to the farmhouse for the welcome is truly worth it. A handy hose to wash the bikes down with and plenty space to store them overnight. Our delightful hostess even had all our... More

Strongly recommended for anyone staying in the area. It isn't hard to find being sign posted from the main road in Kilsyth. It is a proper farm, a lovely house and with real people. Extremely interesting, safe, secure, quiet and very comfortable accomodation. I have stayed several times here and always enjoyed it. It is far better than a hotel.

There is not much I can say about this B&B except "BRILLIANT". I stayed in the log cabin and found it really comfortable and cosy. I was on my own, so the TV and WI-FI was a bonus for me. The hosts and the dogs were lovely and the breakfast was very tasty. I will definitely go back and stay... More

My husband and I stayed at the lodge at Allanfauld Farm while traveling in northern Europe. We prefer to stay at smaller, more unique places, and Allanfauld Farm is certainly that, with interesting history in addition to the lovely accommodations. On the property of the family-owned farm, the lodge is very private, comfortable, tastefully decorated and immaculate. Libby McGregor, who... More

I stayed at Allanfauld farm during a recent walking trip from Lands End to Cape Wrath in the north of Scotland. I stayed in a lovely, comfortable room, the facilities were immaculate and the hospitality quite exceptional. The farm is located a little way out of town but this is more than made up for by the quality of the... More

Stayed 1 night and was upgraded to log cabin for the same price as a single room. Immaculate, very friendly, fantastic breakfast.
