We enjoyed our stay at the King Robert Hotel. The rooms were nice and beds comfy, and it is a great location for the battle of Bannockburn. We wound up eating dinner and breakfast there, and both meals surprised my wife and I. They were reasonably priced, good, and good portions. The soap dispensers in the bathrooms are bolted to... On a recent bus trip to Stirling we booked in for high tea at the King Robert Hotel Stirling. I have to say that the meal was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who served the meal quickly. The food was well cooked and piping hot with a variety to choose from. I would definitely recommend this... More

The rooms are a good size, there is parking, Wi-Fi and breakfast included. The only complaint is that the rooms seem old and worn out. For the price we paid we have stayed in nicer places, but only due to the reasons mentioned above. This review needs over 200 words, hence this sentence.

Well we found it very clean and had booked two rooms for 3 but on arrival decided we would all prefer to be in one room.this was no problem at all... More

In our two weeks in Scotland, we stayed in 4-star and 5-star castles, manors and golf resorts. The King Robert was the only exception, chosen for its perfect location. What a great surprise. The hotel stay was excellent. The online reservation process was flawless. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Parking very, very easy and convenient. The room and shower... More

Shower too small to wash properly ( I am 5'6" and couldn't bend down properly), frame was dirty and had to be wiped before we could use it. (I didn't realise my husband had done this!!)Tired-looking room and curtains had missing hooks so they didn't meet properly. Bed was hard but slept OK. Hair dryer in bathroom didn't have much... Dear Guest Thank you for your review on Trip Advisor. I am glad you enjoyed your breakfast I am sure it would have set you up for the day. If you had reported the issue with the shower to reception we certainly would have allocated you a more suitable room. Thank you also for making me aware of the housekeeping... More

On arrival the receptionist was very helpful, we were given a room on the ground floor. It was very clean and tidy. Adequate facilities within the room, maybe a hook or two in the bathroom to hang wet towels up could be arranged. Tribute band on the first evening which didn't finish till well after midnight then noisy guest leaving... More

Just been to the King Robert Hotel in Bannockburn and found that it needs a bit of money spending on it. The carpets on the stairs and the bedrooms were dirty and smelt musty in places and a bit unhealthy. The bathroom needed a complete over hall, the toilet was set at an angle and the bath was dated. Meals... More

Dear Guest Thank you for your comments on the Trip Advisor site. I have uploaded pictures of the new carpets that were being fitted the day after your stay. I had to organise accommodation for twenty plus for a family gathering over the May Bank holiday weekend. The manager was terrific and was able to accommodate all the changes that were inevitably made, including wheelchair usage. The meals were excellent and the staff very accommodating, particularly having fifteen decide at short notice to have their second evening meal there.... More
