Thank you to Sarah and her family for welcoming us into their home, we absolutely loved this place, it was a typical working farm full of charm, I loved spending time with the animals , loved the Labradors, ducks, cows, sheep and the hens! Nothing was too much trouble and Sarah was very attentive and made us feel very welcome,... More

We stayed two nights at this peaceful farmhouse. Everything was thought of and the owner, Sarah, could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Being used to living in the country, we appreciated the peace and quiet and the lovely views across the farm with sheep quietly grazing beneath our window. The highly rated breakfast fully lived up to expectations... More

We stayed for 2 nights b & b. and can recommend this lovely farmhouse for quiet, friendly and comfortable accommodation. The views over hilly fields are lovely. It is a real working farm, but the owner makes time to look after her visitors very well. Breakfasts are a real treat.

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend as we were attending a wedding in the near by Sandburn Hall. Found this as a cheaper alternative to Griffin Lodges and we're VERY glad we did. Appletree cottage couldn't have been more perfect for us, it had absolutely everything you would need for a comfortable stay and the location is simply stunning.... More

We stayed here for 3 weeks in the summer last year and have to stay loved every minute of it. A real homely feel from the moment you arrive, Sarah is a true gem as are the rest of the family. The cottage itself provides absolutely everything you can think of, plenty of hot water and heating too if needed.... More

We lucked up on this B&B near Castle Howard. Janet Foster was a lovely host. The rooms were typical farmhouse style, clean and comfortable. Wonderful to see the milk truck coming in the morning to pick up the milk. There were animals everywhere--granddaughter riding her horse, dogs, chickens, cows. So peaceful and tranquil. Breakfast was lovely. Delicious and I felt... More

This is a working farm but Sarah somehow manages to run a very good B&B as well! It is quiet as it is right in the country, lovely views overlooking the fields. The house is very old and as such the bathroom had a floor that dipped down - a funny feeling when you walked there, but par for the... More

Lovely B&B. Communication beforehand was excellent. Sarah was very welcoming and thoughtful (my daughter left her cuddly toy and she phoned me to tell me as soon as she found it). Beautiful setting and delicious breakfast. Very close to Castle Howard and in the vicinity of lovely pubs.

Very pleasant experience overall. We stayed at the Woodhouse Farm in June 2014. The house was beautiful, very well maintained and very clean throughout, it had a fully equipped kitchen. We got complementary eggs and a delicious home made pie. The surrondings were gorgeous, very peaceful place. The service we received from the owners was extraordinary, we couldn't be happier.

The best B&B we have stayed at for years. Sarah made us very welcome and the setting is -- well superb -- the breakfasts are fresh, hot, super tasty. Wood House Farm has lovely views in a very peaceful setting. Good food is available at local pubs - and the access to the Wolds is ideal.
