What a find ! A beautiful location, we had a large comfortable room and a super bed , We really appreciated the homely touches such as home made cake on our arrival. We struggled to eat the large and lovely breakfast also full of home made goodies. A great base for touring, walking or having a glimpse into Yorkshire farm... More

We booked this last minute because we were going to an event in the area. I am so glad we did. The room was quiet, clean, full of charachter. The owner was very friendly and greeted us with tea, cake and snack served in the pretty cottage garden. When we booked the price of the room was a bit more... More

We have just had a wonderful 4 nights at Carr House Farm with Anna, Jack and the dogs. Our room was lovely with an unusual canopied bed, a bathroom of vast proportions and a view to die for from the window. Breakfast was delicious, local produce, home made preserves and fresh fruit. Every night when we came in Anna had... More

We chose Carr House Farm because it is located in a peaceful area yet reasonably close to a selection of inns where evening meals may be obtained. Our well-equipped rooms were adjacent and had comfortable beds, and the en-suites were very clean and roomy. Anna's breakfasts were also excellent, and we were pleased to introduced to Jack's dogs in their... More

Just came back from spending a lovely two nights in Carr House Farm. It was a lovely quaint b&b in the middle of nowhere and it was perfect. The nearest village Ampleforth is about 1 mile away and it's just like Emmerdale with it's village pubs, post office and picturesque surroundings. As for Carr House Farm it is a lovely... More

Great place, we had 4 nights B&B, we were looked after so well it was like having my mum along. Extremely comfortable with a wonderful old-world charm (not surprising for a 16th century farm). We would certainly stay there again.

A delightful B&B with loads of charm and homely touches. My husband and I stayed for two nights and we would thoroughly recommend a stay. The hosts are warm and welcoming, the rooms are lovely (we had a cosy room in a cottage off the main house) and I'd suggest you come with an empty stomach - the breakfasts are... More

What a find! There is very limited overnight accommodation in Ampleforth, but following the advice of one of the local pubs I phoned Carr Farm. That week, the council was digging up the road in Ampleforth, but I braved the given directions and found Carr Farm easily, up a track to the North of the Ampleforth to Wass road. The... More

I will not write a long review as I do not want to waste anymore energy on these people than I have to. However, I feel compelled to after such a torrid stay. This was truly the worst holiday experience of my life. The owners were awful and the accommodation massively over priced and unclean. My wife was screamed at,... More

My partner and I stayed here for 5 days during the end of June and we couldn't fault this lovely bed and breakfast at all. Anna's hospitality was equally faultless constantly offering help and seeing to our every need each day we were there. Anna's homemade treats she left in our room after we had spent the day exploring were... More
