For being located on an exceptionally busy road, Hawk House kept the noise out well. Our room was well presented, tidy and modern. The only downside was the low, sloping ceiling above the bed that didn't allow for sitting up in bed and you had to be careful getting in and out. The bed itself was comfy, a little small... More

Reception very welcoming. Every need was catered for and the room had everything. We were actually going to a funeral and had travelled 173 miles. Reception kindly did a print out of our journey from Hawk House to the Crematorium. We would recommend this B&B. Breakfast was delightful. Staff great.

Our third visit. We have never been disappointed. Always so clean and well presented. A very welcome stop on the way to Devon. Comfortable rooms and very good breakfast. Overall very good value and the staff are always friendly.

It could so easily be yet another "roadside caff" - it isn't! How refreshing to find a new-build purpose built restaurant with such high standards. Solicitous staff, very well cooked food, very ample portions and a wide menu. I do have some criticisms though - perhaps my rating should be four & three-quarters; we ate in the separate room which... More

Our first impression was wow! Totally not expected. The room was immaculate. It included 2 chairs which are sadly lacking in some hotels. If you want to sit you have to perch on the bed which is not ideal for my 94 year old Mum. All the toiletries including a face flannel were in the bathroom, with a good shower.... More

The welcome by the staff, the standard of cleanliness, the standard of hygiene, the standard of food and the warmth of the staff in all dealing with us was excellent. We have been travelling down to Cornwall only three times a year for the last 30 years, this is the first time we have ever had such all round excellence... More

We stumbled upon the Hawk House Hotel....and were not disappointed. This is a very small hotel with 6 rooms and located literally adjacent to the A303. Our room was ready even though we arrived earlier than expected. It was very well priced for a double en suite room which was clean and spacious (would have preferred the bed to be... More

I was really impressed with this place. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious. I enjoyed a great breakfast in the morning in Wayne's Bistro. Overall, I found Hawk House to be excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again.

We've driven past several times without stopping. We've been missing out. We called in today for lunch. Lovely welcome. Very good menu. We opted for ham sandwiches with an order of fries. Very nicely served. Delicious ham. The staff set the tone and it's just right. Great toilets too. This will always be our preferred lunch venue en route to... More

This place is a gem, we had a twin room for a weekend shopping in Bath in December and were so surprised at the standard of both the rooms and the customer service. There is nothing to criticise at all. The standard is 5 star all the way through. We stayed for Christmas shopping in Bath and the hotel was... More
