Recently visited the mildmay arms. Food is to die for and amazing staff who really can't do enough for you. Wish I lived closer to go more often. Well recommended to anyone in the area . A lovely cosy feel to the pub and there is nothing they won't do to make your visit the best .

My husband and I took my very fussy Other for lunch. The staff were brilliant, food was exceptional particularly the roast beef, and the roast pork. The deserts were well presented and tasted fab . The pub was full but the customer service from the staff was first class We will definitely return. A big thank you for making my... More

I recently stayed in The Glebe Room at The Mildmay Arms in Queen Camel and found everything excellent. I could not fault the room and the restaurant and bar were equally as impressive, especially the huge full English breakfast. I shall certainly be staying there again and recommending it to friends and colleagues. Ian and his team were very attentive... More

My friend & I went for lunch today, we were under the impression that there was a 2 course lunch special, but told only Mon-Wed. Food was to our mind over cooked and some was burnt. For a village pub, think this was trying to be too upmarket

We are sorry that you were disappointed. As all the boards and website states the lunch special is mon - wed. Which we believe is where your annoyance stems from. We did ask if everything was ok and you replied yes, which is difficult for us to do anything if you then go away and reflect differently on tripadvisor. If... More

We were glad to here the Mildmay was open again but were disappointed as we felt the new owners were trying to go a bit to up market and not giving much in the way of traditional pub food. The choice of being able to have 3 small choices of starters and desserts did not suit us as the choice... More

We are sorry you felt dissatisfied with your starters. Should we have been made aware that you would have preferred a particular starter on its own, we would have gladly have made this for you as an individual item rather than the assiette We hope you will pop back and see us More

Work lunch with colleagues. The atmosphere was very pleasant, quiet and relaxed. The staff attentive, polite and helpful without being intrusive. The food was very nice and reasonably priced for what it was. Nice venue for functions. We will definitely use it again.

We come in here now it has reopened and are very surprised. Very clean and modern but still with an old world feel. The beer is excellent reasonably priced. The food is of the highest quality and some of the best I have tasted. All the staff are very friendly and could not do more to help. This pub is... More

My husband and I visited the Mildmay Arms for lunch on the way home to North Devon after travelling back from Kent. The meal we had was excellent and the people were very friendly and welcoming. We would certainly go there again if we were in the area in the future. Definitely to be recommended.

We have lived in Queen Camel for 3 years, in that time we went to the Mildmay pub just once and vowed never to go again!! What an amazing transformation that has taken place! Gone is the dodgy microwaved plastic food, filthy floors and surfaces and dodgy old men propping up the bar!! Now the pub is light, bright, open... More
