Work lunch with colleagues. The atmosphere was very pleasant, quiet and relaxed. The staff attentive, polite and helpful without being intrusive. The food was very nice and reasonably priced for what it was. Nice venue for functions. We will definitely use it again.

We come in here now it has reopened and are very surprised. Very clean and modern but still with an old world feel. The beer is excellent reasonably priced. The food is of the highest quality and some of the best I have tasted. All the staff are very friendly and could not do more to help. This pub is... More

My husband and I visited the Mildmay Arms for lunch on the way home to North Devon after travelling back from Kent. The meal we had was excellent and the people were very friendly and welcoming. We would certainly go there again if we were in the area in the future. Definitely to be recommended.

We have lived in Queen Camel for 3 years, in that time we went to the Mildmay pub just once and vowed never to go again!! What an amazing transformation that has taken place! Gone is the dodgy microwaved plastic food, filthy floors and surfaces and dodgy old men propping up the bar!! Now the pub is light, bright, open... More

My wife and I had a lovely meal and were looked after by very pleasant staff who clearly tried to do every thing possible to make our visit a memorable one. Indeed it was and we are looking forward to our next visit , which unfortunately will not be until next year when we will travel to Cornwall. J Christiaans... More

We have just returned from a few days in the West Country and called in to The Mildmay Arms on the way home. Living close to LHR and Windsor we are used to a wide variety and standard of pubs and restaurants. The Mildmay Arms gives exceptional value and service and even my fussy 17 year old daughter was impressed.... More

I've been eating at the Mildmay since 1979! It has gone through lots of ups and downs over the years and had become quite run down. But the new owners have brought about a complete transformation! The pub now looks great and is very inviting. We were welcomed by the staff and shown to our table. The menu is investing... More

After knowing the Mildmay Arms in my youth, wow, what a difference. Called in today for coffee, new owners very friendly ans showed us around. The decor is lovely, tasteful and comfortable.Got to mention the ladies toilets, clean modern and the very nice touch, having individual hand towels to dry hands. It can only be an asset to Queen Camel.... More

Living in the next village I barely went to the pub before it was renovated as it was so run down, after visiting today and having exceptional food and service, so friendly and kind, I'll be coming back here on a frequent basis. Decor is looking lovely and it's so reasonably priced. Looking forward to my next visit.

We visited this recently reopened pub for dinner, have to say we were not disappointed. We had the starter selection, which allowed us to try 3 different dishes. The home cured salmon was a triumph, the homemade pate was rich, creamy and perfectly seasoned, the beetroot and feta was also sensational. I had a rib eye steak which was cooked... More
