Very pleased with how this place has turned out. A polar opposite of what it used to be! Do recommend anypne that uses to visit please go back! Its a fantastic little free house. Great food, lovely staff and good beer! Will be going back for sure!

After visiting the Mildmay for a second time we were happy to find the quality of food and high level of service from Ian, Debbie and their team was not a one off. Excellent experience that I cannot recommend enough.

We visited with 14 of us for American/UK family reunion. The food was lovely and the hospitality excellent, the staff were so accommodating and we had a fabulous evening, rounded off with a bottle of complementary plonk for our American cousins celebrating their 50th wedding, we sometimes lack the American hospitality given at restaurants in the U.S.A ......the Mildmay Arms... We had an excellent lunch here for 27 bellrings on a holiday in Somerset. The staff here were very helpful and the food was superb. The steak and kidney pie was especially enjoyed but everyone went away very happy to ring at the church next door which has the heaviest peal of 6 bells in the world! The ladies also... More

....since we last visited a few years ago. The décor is just right, not too modern but clean and in keeping. The rooms and the en-suite in our room was re-decorated and re-newed and it is first class. The owners/staff are friendly and the food is superb.

What a beautiful place! Not only was the pubs interior design light, airy, modern but at the same time, well in keeping with a traditional style of a quaint country pub but the food was out of this world also! The rooms were up there with a £250 a night hotel! Exquisite with large power showers, big enough for 2... More

My husband and I were staying at a nearby campsite for the weekend, and after reading the excellent reviews we decided to visit, in fact we went twice, and we were not disappointed. The landlord gave us a warm welcome, and even though he was manning the two bars, he made the effort to speak with us. On our first... More

Recently visited the mildmay arms. Food is to die for and amazing staff who really can't do enough for you. Wish I lived closer to go more often. Well recommended to anyone in the area . A lovely cosy feel to the pub and there is nothing they won't do to make your visit the best .
