Love this building. Lots of character with mullioned windows stone frames and flagstones for flooring. Breakfastis an adventure too with the help yourself to things etc fitting in with the character. Great views overlooking the gardens and all very quiet out in the countryside. Gorgeous long tree lined drive too.

I recently stayed at the Fat Pigeon, room 16. This is a family room and a very good size. Whilst I was a lone traveller I could imagine staying in the room with a family and still having plenty of space for everyone. Twin wash basins in the bathroom a great idea for a family. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The... More

A very old mansion with beautiful gardens, extremely quiet - except that the neighbor in his room can be clearly heard. Since there are at most two, it is not a major issue. The creaking floorboard also not but the holes in it and the "rural" design might cause some irritations. My room however was really gorgeous although small and... More

I love this place! I have stayed here twice. It is incredible value for money weekdays and the rooms are stunning as are the buildings. It can sometimes be hard to find staff but in a way that is endearing too! I haven't eaten here as I booked on a room only basis - can't always do this but as... More

Booked the room last minute so our expectations weren't very high we just needed somewhere to stay that was not too far from Exeter. Wow what a wonderful place we were welcomed by Lady Mary then had a lovely time walking around the grounds, we couldn't look around the house as there was a wedding taking place. We were a... More

I've been there for my friend's wedding on 5th June and everything was just amazing. It's a lovely wedding venue with a very beautiful view. The food was very tasty. Friendly staff. Nice and comfortable accommodation. Everything was very well organised. I had a great time there.

Stayed here overnight with my daughter. Unfortunately arrived late but, once we found the right door, found a note with our key. I had booked a family room and it was enormous with a large modern bathroom. Linens and towels are white and like new. Slightly disappointed that there were no toiletries but this is something that Lady Mary the... More

I stay regularly at the fat Pidgeon which is in the grounds of a stately home . It is a very atmospheric building from 16th century. Breakfast is buffet which is fine if you do not need cooked breakfast . It is easy to get to , and with friendly staff who will show you around the grounds if you... More

Make no mistake, Brympton House and the accommodation provided is just excellent. The location is amazing and the house and rooms are fantastic. I have only one criticism and it was the unexpected noise at night. The hallways and stairs throughout the house have completely bare wooden floor boards and as a consequence every footstep of every guest can be... More

We stayed at Brympton for a wedding, and the whole experience was amazing. It's one of the best locations I've been to for a wedding, and the atmosphere of the place (ensured in part by the calm, collected and friendly staff) was perfect. We didn't want to leave when it was all over.
