I stayed in La Laguna for 2 nights in January 2014, along with my wife and two small daughters. The building is beautiful, with superb rooftop terrace and top-floor dining area with panoramic views of the Salinas Lagoon (across the street, home to a few wild flamingos) and to the beach (a few blocks away). Isabela is a primative island... More

Dear Ultramodern1 Warmest greetings from Hotel La Laguna, we are totally thankful for your feedback and your extended commentary of our Hotel and surroundings. That's what exactly we are used to selling to our clients. We don't want our clients get a wrong idea about our hotel despite of not having the greatest infrastructure as big cities have but still... Located on a quiet street directly across the street from a large shallow lagoon that always had a couple of flamingos in it during our 2 night stay. The hotel appears to have recently completed a complete renovation and has a very modern appearance. We were in room #7 and found it to be small, especially for the price, but... More

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel La Laguna while we were on Isabela Island. As the title stated, it is at a great location. Decent room size and amenities, including free drinking cold and warm water (very useful) and spotty wifi.

Everything seemed decent. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hot tub on the roof was a good idea, if the water wasn't really murky. Like the other reviews, breakfast was okay. The location was relatively good. Hotel staff were not to be seen most of the time, but when they were, they seemed friendly. We would stay there again... More

After checking out many of the hotels/hostels in town, we found La Laguna to be very good value for money. Centrally located, it offers spacious rooms and amazing view on the lagoon. Flamingos were there every single day. The building looks very nice from the outside but could use some new paint inside. The staff does not speak English but... More

We spent three nights here with our tour group. It was just fine. I agree with the other reviewer that they need to work on their staffing. The front desk was not staffed, but there was usually someone up in the restaurant. There was always water available in the lobby and in the restaurant area. Rooms were clean and comfortable... More

While staying in a smaller community in the developing world we have limited expectations with respect to certain elements of our hotel accomodations. The one factor we can usually rely upon is good customer service. Unfortunately, service was nearly non-existant during our stay at Hotel LaLaguna. The reception area is never staffed and a sign directs you to the top... More
