A group of eight of us camped here for 4 nights during and after trekking the Larapinta Trail. Lovely restaurant and quality entertainers most nights. An incredibly friendly and professional staff at this resort set amongst some of the best scenery you could see.

We stayed for four nights in a powered site, while the sites are very narrow and close to neighbours, it is looking at the beautiful Glen Helen gorge and is a very quiet and relaxed park. Our kids loved riding their bikes around, the toilets/showers were basic but spotless. Cleaner than most other caravan parks we have been to. Great... More

We are delighted you enjoyed our relaxed hospitality during your stay, and hope you had great fun exploring the West MacDonnell Ranges National Park during your stay with us. We stayed two nights at Glen Helen Resort in early July 2014. The restaurant was great with good service, great food and a reasonable selection of wines. The rooms are good although when we were there they were having problems with water and we had only intermittent hot water for showers.

Dear Bryce J thanks for reviewing Glen Helen We are delighted you enjoyed your stay, and meals and service, and apologise that sometimes we have challenges with our water supply, which has a hard time keeping up when we are busy. That is another improvement our landlord will be working on.... enabling a more plentiful supply of better quality water... More

This place is an embarrassment. Such a spectacular part of Australia deserves better. Old, poorly maintained, noisy at night, badly laid out and generally shoddy. Its only saving grace is the restaurant which had good service and food. Very expensive accommodation, the standard of which would never be accepted if there was any choice. And for the campers and caravaners... More

Dear Neville 145 thanks for your review of Glen Helen We are really glad you enjoyed the meals and service in our Namatjira Gallery Restaurant. This is the one part of the Glen Helen business that we as leasehold owners can almost fully control and we are delighted you appreciated it, as we work hard to make this experience a... More

The Glen Helen resort is simply dreadful. We travelled for 8 weeks around Australia and stayed in some very average accommodation, all of which would be rated 5 star if compared to Glen Helen. The resort was built many years ago on a wonderful site but should now be bulldozed. The rooms are awful and the bathrooms even worse. They... More

Dear kivmas We regret your stay at Glen Helen was disappointing. As you will read most guests really enjoy the atmosphere and service of our property, despite the older simple rooms which we endeavour to make as fresh and clean as we can. If you read down you will see that we are working with what we have, while the... More

Stunning back drop to park, convenient to gorges. Terrible service from back packers who didn't know what they were doing, booked us into site too small for our caravan. The worst part were the toilets- 100 meters from us, they had no water to the top toilets which they had closed despite full park and the ones open were so... More

Dear pabartle Thanks for reviewing Glen Helen Your stay was obviously impacted by our recent problem with a sewage transfer pump which meant we could not use the bathroom blocks to their full extent, and we appreciated everyone's patience with this, it was absolutely unavoidable. We are always short of water in the busy season too. Actually the water was... More

I stayed here a few weeks ago with my family for 3 nights. (3 nights too many). The area was absolutely breathtaking with great gorges and other walks to see. Ormiston Gorge was lovely along with Standley Chasm. But when it came to the sizes of the camping sites I was not very impressed. When we were sitting outside our... More

Dear GTMABAR Thanks for taking time to review Glen Helen We regret your camping experience was not all you could have wished. We try to manage our space as well as we can for the high demand in certain periods of the year. This does sometimes mean Campers are pretty close together and generally this works ok, and we leave... More

We stayed here as a Family in July 2014. It was basic and compact, but enabled us to appreciate the majestic scenery. Having no room TV was a plus. The meals were very good at approx $100 for 2 adults and 2 children. The campground was very diverse and this added to the experience. They do have helicopter tours based... More

We had not originally planned to stay at Glen Helen but decided to break a long drive over two days. We were very pleasantly surprised. The motel accommodation itself was basic but we didn't spend much time in the room. Instead we enjoyed a delicious dinner - white tablecloths and all - in the restaurant then relaxed near an open... Lovely area to see the walks and sites around. Unfortunately they state they pride on cleanliness but the toilet facilities were filthy. No soap in the toilets for hygiene and lack of toilet paper and for the amount of people staying there 3 showers and 4 toilets cleaned once a day when park was full was inadequate. As for the...
