If you are making the pilgrimage to the Mersey School of Anaesthesia for a course, this is the most convenient place to stay. Cab to the hospital only costs £5, alternatively its a 20-30minute walk. Getting to Rainhill is best done by getting off at Runcorn and getting a taxi-this will save you an hour travelling into then out of... More

Poor experience at this hotel due to dated fixtures and fittings in the bedroom, and the substandard breakfast that we received on the day that we left. Food not ready on the designated opening time and scrambled egg had pieces of shell in it. Both tea and coffee were cold.

This is the smallest premier inn I've ever stayed at only around 30 rooms. The rooms are excellent and so are the staff. I was surprised to have a key to open my room but the rooms are great. Whilst here my partners wheelchair which is electric broke and the staff bent over backwards to help rectify the problem. It... More

Staying on my own, visiting family in the area, I popped in the pub (Ship Inn) on a Monday night a little nervously to have a quick one. The locals and management insisted I joined them and we had a wonderful night. An amazing group of people who made the stay incredibly special. They embraced my little ancestry story and... More

Lovely staff but building a bit dated. Watch out for pot holes in carpark on way in. Rooms not up to usual premier inn standard of comfort but was clean. Had a family room and stayed two nights. First night was kept awake by noise from pub adjoining and slamming on corridors and general noise. Breakfast was ok but nothing... More

When we chose Premier Inn, we knew we could not be wrong. However we were not expecting to find such lovely and friendly members of staff, at the hotel and at the restaurant next door! highly recommended! We arrived late (around 10pm) and were very surprised how welcoming the staff was, and also that the restaurant agreed to serve us... More

Cannot fault the staff at this premier Inn, particularly Amy on reception and Jess in the attached Swan Inn serving food. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay there again if was in the area.
