I spent a memorable weekend in the Chateau Lamothe du Prince Noir. The owner's daughter, Veronique, is the manager of the property and is a caring and friendly host. She and her father greeted us upon arrival with a bottle of champagne which we savored on the grounds. We stayed in the Prince Noir bedroom which was fit for a... More

You can spend alot of euros in bordeaux and not find a more generous welcoming family than the father and daugthers who own this chateaux. You will feel welcomed like family visiting the area with insider tips and breakfast set for a prince and princess. The setting alone is magical as you drive up to the gate, drive thru the... More

We spent a few days at Chateau Lamothe du Prince Noir. When personalized service goes beyond 5 stars, this is what you get. Let me start with the rooms, they are large, excellent beds, a sitting area, a dining table with lovely old furnishure that was selected carefully by the owners for their own use. The paintings on the walls,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chateau Lamothe du Prince Noir. We stayed in the "De la Tour" room for 3 nights and really didnt want to leave. The daybed in the bath room was the perfect napping spot. The king-size bed in the bedroom was super comfortable. Our breakfast was elegant and delicious (don't miss out on the... More

We visited this wonderful chateau in August for four nights. The family run property makes you experience perfect days in France. Start your day with a sumptuous breakfast (great coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruit, hot croissants, cheese, yoghurt, and meats at a table setting fit for royalty). Refreshed from sleeping in a wonderful room with ensuite you are prepared for... More

Staying in this glorious chateau where every detail has been thought of, was a blissful and memorable experience. Veronique, the charming owner, is a mine of information. She organised wine tours for us, sent us to the best restaurants and gave us impeccable directions.Nothing was too much trouble. The chateau is exquisitely decorated with large and elegant rooms and beautiful... More
