We stayed here as part of a self guided walking tour by Evazio. We were greeted by Bridgette and as we were early were directed into the town were we found that no places were open until after 3:30pm so we waited to get a small something to eat and while the time away. When we returned we were warmly... More

We have stayed at this beautiful family home during our trip with our three small daughters. It wasn't hard for us to convince them that they were sleeping at the real princess castle and after our tour of the Loire valley this was a treat for them. The chateau was clean and reasonably we'll kept but not meticulously restored like... More

Just returned from a one night stay here. The garden and pool were perfect for a long sunny evening in Barsac. Our room was comfortable with all the nessecary amenities, but the real star was the food! Both the dinner and breakfast were amongst the best we have had in France, served with genuine care and hospitality. We would heartily... More

This is a wonderfully luxurious chateau B&B, complete with swimming pool and jacuzzi and large garden. The hosts were wonderful and helpful, the room was very well decorated, and the meals were plentiful and delicious. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed at Chateau de Camperos on Monday June 10, 2013. A local suggested it and when we arrived we were asked if we wanted to use the heated pool and if we would like to dine that night. We had been warned by locals that there was not much open on a Monday in the area so decided to... More

This chateau is the real thing - lovely large staircase, high ceilings, huge bedrooms, antique decor, beautiful views and of course an amazing live-in home chef who will cook you one of the best meals you will eat. The accomodation is truly breath taking and just what you would expect from a chateau in Bordeaux, if not more! The food... More

Top notch accomodation with excellent dining experience. A time travel to an authentic chateau, where the owners make you feel at home. Do not miss dining in this magic place. Each room has its particular decoration. We had "Africa" with African , with huge king size bed, huge bath tub for two, and views to the garden. Other details in... More

If you are looking for a base to explore points south of St Emilion, you should stay two nights at Chateau de Camperos in Barsac. Brigitte gives you options for your dinners. Paul makes you feel comfortable when he serves you the apertiffs and the meals. The room is super large and decorated in all its elegance of a 19th... More

We stayed with Paul and Brigitte in Sept 2012. What a beautiful old chateau! You can feel the history here. Our room was very spacious with a very modern bathroom. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner prepared by Brigitte. Paul was a very attentive server and looked after us well. The breakfast is very good with homemade jams made by Brigitte.... More
