What a gem to find near Carcassonne.! This is a very special place & we are so glad we did. The warmth of welcome is so genuine & you are made to feel very comfortable throughout your stay. We so enjoyed the peace & quiet after our hectic journey & the food was a sheer delight. As a Chef myself... More

We stayed here for 5 days in July, and loved it. George and Roland take very good care of their guests, going that extra mile to make them feel welcome. We were in the gite which is attached to the house, but breakfast was still provided (thank goodness, the homemade jams were scrumptious. It's changed my way of eating croissants!)... More

We approached the Chateau from the Canal side, having walked along the Canal du Midi and after a quick phone call, Roland and another lovely man who was wearing a Welsh Dragon apron (we live in Wales) came to welcome us and unlock the gates. From that moment on our stay could not have been improved upon. The building and... More

Our second time at this beautiful house - first time was two years ago - it is still as good as ever. Friendly welcome from George and Roland. Classical music playing in the background. Comfortable room. Excellent evening meal. Cannot praise enough.

The house is beautiful - the decor is fabulous and the exterior is lovely. George and Roland are great - informal, attentive and charming. The house backs onto the Canal du Midi - they have a gate onto the towpath and a selection of bikes of different shapes and sizes, all in good condition which you can borrow. A highlight... More

First class accommodation and excellent hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Château. The proximity to the Canal Du Midi lends itself to walks along the canal and gentle boat watching. The house has a great ambience with large well equipped rooms that are very tastefully decorated. There is a feeling of space in the house and this is... More

We stayed here with our two teenagers for 3 nights. It is a beautiful house, complete with peacocks on the lawn. It backs directly on to the Canal de Midi, which is why we chose it - we planned to cycle along the Canal. The Chateau is not in Bram itself and is not within walking distance of the village... More

We were at Chateau de la Prade for 3 nights in July and we loved it! It was beautiful, relaxing, peaceful, and immaculate. George, Roland, and the rest of the staff were so friendly and warm. We felt like we were part of the family after only 3 nights. Also, make sure to eat dinner there -- Roland is an... More

There are only 4 bedrooms at La Prade (all of which are good sized, well proportioned and have quality bathrooms) and therefore we are in some ways reluctant to share the information about this outstanding hotel as we will want to return as often as possible and would hate for availability to become limited however George and Roland deserve full... Very friendly and welcoming hosts, seemed to take a personal interest, tailored evening meal to our dietary request - the meal was perfect for us. The bedroom was exquisite and refurbished to a very high standard but still in keeping with the building. Although the downstairs hasn't been completely refurbished it was still a delight to be in, enhanced by... More
