We turned up enquiring for a room quite late in the day, practically on dark. The girls were very accommodating and showed us to a room. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept on in two weeks- including the pillows. Big fluffy doona and good linen. Out the back of the Alfresco Eatery so close to food... More

Great value for money. Clean and tidy and nicely appointed room and bathroom. Super comfy bed. Wonderfully friendly owners and very helpful. Also ate at cafe which is a must - great pizzas and flat bread to die for.

We stayed the night in a lovely room, had our own bathroom which was fun as the floor piles were on a slope, no soap for shower was provided though. Bed was large and comfortable, pillows were hard, room very pretty and the house was nicely decorated, owner was very friendly. Needed a hood spring clean to get rid of... More

Individual style room, bed comfy but pillows very hard. TV high on wall and a poor picture. It is an old house and has lots of character but we have stayed in better value accommodation on our trip around New Zealand. Meal in the adjoining restaurant was excellent.

Hadn't planned on staying in Reefton, but finding ourselves tired after along day hiking in the West Coast rain, we stopped for the night. Despite a sign on the street quoting $60 for a room, we were told it would be $95. After some discussion, the girls reluctantly sold the room at the advertised rate. They said they were too... More

Stayed here in August, a lovely welcoming place that also serves the best pizza in Newzealand. Paula and Miles the hosts are warm and friendly and make you feel at home. You must give this place a visit if you are passing through. Cannot recommend enough!

Nice rooms in a Victorian style house. It is very nicely decorated and the rooms have plenty of space. Nice warm heaters for the winter. The host was very friendly and welcoming. There are only 3 channels on tv, but there is a great wireless connection. The pizza from the restaurant was quite tasty also.

We were warmly welcomed by Paula at the restaurant next door at 8pm on a cold May Thursday night and she was happy to serve us a lovely meal and explained "the beer fridge is open, help yourself and pay for what you drink". A great start! After dinner she showed us to our room in the main 'house'. It's... More

Stayed in Reefton to visit a relative. We arrived on the evening of the Rugby World Cup Final and Paula was very accommodating - we had pizza in our room watching the final which was great after a long journey. The house is over 100 years old and very impressive. We slept well, the room was secure, warm and clean... More
