Since there will be a few negatives in this review, let me begin with the positives. The house is a lovely historic (heritage) property, beautifully renovated. The rooms have charm and character and as do the public spaces. The pool is a refreshing oasis. The back-of-house staff (kitchen, waiters, clean staff) are very friendly and kind. The front of the... We had a very enjoyable three nights at Siolim house and would recommend it for people lucking to escape the North Goa Beach scene. The hotel is full of character, the staff are very friendly but could do with some additional all round training, as their basic hospitality skills are slightly lacking - ie slow service, forgetting to make restaurant... We were really looking forward to staying at Siolim House after all the nice reviews. When we were dropped off outside the gates we had to look twice as this place did not at all look like the one we had seen on the pictures. Unfortunately it did not get any better when we entered the property. The pictures you... More

Dear Guest, thanks for your review. As you mentioned you checked out after the first night, first thing in the morning. As you rightly said, when we asked what the problem was you said that there was none. After that you emailed asking for a reimbursement. It does happen sometimes that Siolim House does not suit the interests of a... More

Siolim House isn't as quiet and tucked away as it used to be, but that's just until you reach the inner courtyard of this 7 room property and then it feels like coming home. Think jazz on the speakers, an azure swimming pool shaded by greenery and a chilled out vibe. The standard suites are not very large, but the... More

I'd been wanting to stay at this property for years but somehow it never happened. For Diwali, I booked a month in advance and got a great deal (15% off for minimum 3 nights). I love the Siolim neighbourhood which is close to Ashwem Morjim as well as Anjuna Vagator and yet is so quiet so really felt like a... More

Siolim House is a wonderful, well maintained property in North Goa. The hotel is restored from an old Goan property. The vintage room with a large cot and antique furniture is beautiful. Only downside is that the room we stayed in didn't have air conditioning and being under the fan, got a bit warm at night. However, the staff was... More

If you are the type of tourist who is tired of the beach scenes in goa, this is in an excellent choice. Located amid a green, rural belt Siolim House has the natural charm of a heritage property. This is a 275 year old house, once occupied by the Governer of Maccau. We stated in Macassar, one of the two... More

The place is owned and run by Varun. Amazing place with a pool and beautiful rooms. It is an actual castle converted to a hotel and you will realize this immediately. Truly well maintained and beautifully managed. The staff is more than helpful and make you feel as though you're at home. You should definitely give it a try!

A beautiful heritage property in a calm village takes you back in time. The spacious rooms with antique cots and vintage furniture makes you forget the busy city life. The huge bathroom with wooden flooring and a door which opens in to the balcony with a view of the swimming pool is a amazing. This place in monsoon helps you... More

Peaceful, serene and calming! Even though there was renovation work in progress, we faced no disturbance. If you are looking for something which is private and yet bang in the middle of the town, siolim house is the perfect answer. The rooms are neat and clean with the Portuguese flavour. The staff deserves a special mention for being extremely helpful... More
