The real Siolim House is quite different than the website/tripadvisor traveller reviews. At arrival at 7 pm, all lights were out and we had a hard time locating someone from the staff. The requested extra beds for our children were not set up, and were brought into the room piece by piece. Only at arrival informed dinner had to be... More

This may not be the kind of goa we may be used to. Far from the maddening crowd in the heart of Siolim lies Siolim House - a 350 yr old Portuguese Villa. The staff is attentive, warm and there to satisfy any request. The architecture and interior is out of this world. The rooms larger than a standard apartment... More

It's not the first time that someone would say that Goa does not cease to please. But for us, our stay is as important as its tucked-away, lovely secrets. Siolim House (more specifically the Little Mansion, Siolim, from the same group), in every bit is extremely hospitable & comfortable. Set in an old Portuguese style, its 3 rooms are very... More

Very nice heritage property... Would have rated it 5 if it were a museum. Nothing for family with young kids... Would certainly recommend this for friends, young couples and anyone else... Food is made to order... (probably because we were the only people when we visited)... Pls don't expect a lavish buffet. But the food was tasty, esp with homemade... More

Call it fate, but stumbled on this hotel by accident because my usual place was fully booked...what a blessing! This hotel is a little sanctuary and hideaway. Great location- far fromm the madding crowd- and rooms to die for.they have worked really hard to keep the original features of this old Portuguese house which is Portuguese, indian and a little french... We have stayed at Siolim House a couple of years ago. We stayed there again recently. I have to stay there's a certain shabbiness that is evident in the upkeep of the place. The grass hadn't been mowed in a long time, the cushion covers, table mats and other linen need to be replaced (faded, nicked), the evening lights that... More

My husband and I stayed here for one week. Our expectations were high based on the photos and reviews, but we felt sincerely disappointed by the service, organization, location, and especially food. We expected a quaint and familial atmosphere but the owner and his girlfriend did not take the time to welcome or get to know us or say goodbye,... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the Macao suite of Siolim house. Unfortunately the room was not ready when we arrived, nor was the reception at 7pm (all lights were off). There is no air conditioning or restaurant available at the residence so getting some dinner at arrival is not possible. The breakfast is very simple to say at best.... More

This is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Like a sophisticated, glam hostel for grown ups. There is no reception and the only television is in the communal lounge but that just adds to the relaxed atmosphere. The staff couldn't be more willing to help and the whole place is beautifully kept. Breakfast is perfect. Can't fault... More
