We stayed at Cley Windmill at the beginning of August for two nights b&b and had an enjoyable short break. We had a good breakfast both mornings and the staff were friendly and helpful. We booked the first floor rooms in the windmill, the Wheat Chamber and Barley Bin which together can accommodate up to 5. Both rooms are very... More

Absolutely enjoyed our stay in this fabulous iconic Windmill lovingly maintained as a special place to stay. Stayed in the Wheel room right at the top. As others say you need to climb some vertical wooden ladders but made for a really fun experience. Views Looking out across the salt marshes and the town 360 degrees from this room. Excellent... My husband booked the Longhouse as a surprise treat for my fast approaching 50th birthday. Completely separate from the windmill this room is more like a cosy little suite. It has an entrance hall that is curtained from the compact lounge area complete with 2 sweater leather sofa and well stocked mini bar. The slate tiled shower room is contemporary... More

We had a very nice evening in this resturant. We did not stay in the rooms but visited their resturant. Excellent food from a fixed menu. A very nice lounge to have pre dinner drink in. Good choice of wines.

We stayed for a weekend break to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were lucky enough to get a room at short notice and stayed in the River Room on the ground floor which is adjacent to the circular windmill proper. It was a touch warm at night due to the thick walls and we found that opening windows attracted an... More

We have visited the Windmill and stayed also had meals there, very different from your usual hotel, great views lovely walks and so peaceful. Nice to see they have a small tea room in the garden now, a useful addition.

Stayed here for one night as we thought it would be fun to spend a night in a real windmill while travelling around Norfolk. Pros - its a windmill - you can walk around the balcony - lovely garden with tea room and easy access to marsh walks - Cley has a pottery and nice food shop - nice breakfast,... More

We could only stay here for one night due to it being fully booked. Understandably, I now know the reason why - it is such a wonderful place and cannot be faulted. If you require a special, romantic break in a fantastic setting then this is the ideal place. Lovely rooms, excellent food and helpful friendly staff - our only... More

We stayed for 3 nights in June 2014, and the overall experience was positive but a bit pricey and the food choice limited in the extreme. You really do need to study the meal scheduled for the day and if you dont like it go somewhere else (see my Three Swallows review.) Cley Windmill is really interesting and if you... More

My partner and I stayed here for the night and we were impressed how beautiful the windmill was, it is lovely to stay somewhere quirky and different. We stayed in the Wheat Room and unfortunately the noise from the room above spoilt it a little as it became irritating in the end. I'm sure that the other rooms would be... More
