We stayed for two nights in the Barley Bin room of the Cley windmill. The windmill is right on the north norfolk coastal path, at the start of a bird sanctuary and a short half mile walk to a lovely beach. The village of Cley is very charming. The accommodation was very comfortable, the breakfasts were fabulous (kippers, eggs, local... More

Just spent 3 days with our friends at Cley Windmill, a truly superb place and very relaxing. I cannot recommend it highly enough and so pleased we visited. The Cley area really is a place of unspoilt beauty and for sure we will return to the windmill again in the future.

Just had two wonderful days at Cley Windmill (Golden Wedding present from our daughter) just a wonderful setting in a quiet village and right on the edge of a wildlife reserve and as a bonus we watched the new sails being installed next day. Food, staff & accommodation was first class, already booked again.

My husband and I came here on a last minute break at the start of March and got a special rate, further reduced as one night was an off-season Sunday night. This made it very good value. The hotel was beautifully decorated, we stayed in Millers room the first night and moved up into the Wheat room in the windmill... More

We stayed in the Windmill for a lovely stay in February - it was fantastic. I was aware of the Windmill and was also recommended by two separate couples and we weren't disappointed. We in the lovely round Stone Room and everything was great. The staff were lovely, the food (breakfasts and dinner) was fantastic and we felt very well... More

Probably okay if there are only two of you and you don't intend to use the upstairs bedroom, but if there are four of you of normal height, think twice. To be fair, everything is well-maintained, nothing is tired or tatty, and the quality of the furnishings is high. We felt it was reasonable to remove all the price tags... More

The Windmill was our stop at the end of our first days walking of the Norfolk coastal path. It's location was perfect as the path runs straight through the grounds so no major detour was needed to find out bed. Very helpful staff showed us to our room (thankfully no stairs!) Beautiful room, equipped with everything that we needed. Set... More

We were lucky to find such a unique Wedding Venue which could also accommodate our guests and provide a fabulous backdrop for our special day. If you can find dates where you are able to 'book' the whole Windmill for your wedding, do it! If you want an intimate day for a small wedding party, Cley Windmill has to be... More

Was taken as a surprise to stay in the Wheel room at the top of the Windmill. Very exciting on arrival to be climbing a ladder to the bedroom and then again to the bathroom right at the top. We were greeted by a very friendly lady but we didn't see the same staff again so it was a bit... More
