After reading some of the reviews I was skeptical about staying here. We had an ocean view room and so glad we did. There was nothing better than sitting on the lanai in the morning/evening and relaxing and watching the great view. The room is simple. The Mattress is hard and not very comfortable at all. Housekeeping was good but... More

Although we arrived late (almost 10 pm) we were greeted by a friendly and helpful desk clerk who got us checked in. We were in room 101, which was at the end of the building. The room was large, and although dated was clean and comfortable. A king bed was missing the box spring, just a mattress on a frame.... More

Captain Oliver's has a fantastic setting! The problem is the room. There is an odor in the rooms and in the dresser drawers. The bed has no box spring, just a mattress on a wood frame and the pillows needed to be replaced. The shower was antiquated with minimal hot water and low water pressure. The room was very spacious... More

We stayed here for three days after our sailing trip. The rooms are nice and overlook the marina and the location is fairly close to a lot of good attractions. For the money you're paying though this is not a very good deal. The place is getting old and maintenance seems to be falling way behind. No water, no electricity... More

We would wake up in the morning, sit on our balcony and watch the pelicans put on a show for us before we went to breakfast. Captain Oliver's sits on the edge of a small yachting harbor; very soothing. Nice and quiet. Swimming pool (very deep and absolutely not suitable for children) + ocean swimming (a dock and a float... I should preface this review by saying that this was our first time visiting St. Martin, so I cannot compare Captain Oliver's to any other accommodation on the island. We stayed here for a week, and there were some ups and downs. Some of the ups: pretty good location, within walking distance of some excellent restaurants. Not terribly far from... More

Stayed at this resort on a last minute trip. The staff is very friendly and helpful The rooms were average and not very updated. The outlets in the rooms were very old and in order to charge your cellphone or any device you need to get an extension plus from the front desk, was not happy about that. The bathroom... More

Stayed in this hotel as it was no other properties available around - well location is peaceful and quiet ... this is typical island 1* -2* hotel that suppose to cost $70-90 per night - but here the cost is $265 (!) - for this money you got a spacious room with noisy IC , not working TV , rusty... I only stayed here because the credit card mile points would pay for it. I would never pay cash for this unless I was just coming in off my sailboat and needed somewhere to crash. Don't think you will get an ocean view room. It will have a view of a roof and some boats, and barely any water! BUGs... More
