as they say in real estate: location location location! very nice neighborhood with restaurants, cafes, sloping streets and close to the waterfront. the manager was very nice, as we were a couple of hours late for check-in (too much traffic at cape hope and bad cell phone reception), but we called him 20mins in advance and everything was professionally handled.... The lodge was ok, dining room was well decorated, location was nice very close to the main road and several bars and coffees, 7-8 min drive from waterfront, 25-30 min walking, The room had no decorations, it had 2 small windows on the top close to the ceiling similar to prison :) Manger was helpful, not so friendly though.

De Waterkant has become one of the (if not THE) vibrant, exciting areas of Cape Town city Bowl. And the De Waterkant Lodge is a wonderful, clean, luxurious stay for a very reasonable prices. Breakfast is cold, but very good. Rooms are clean and well-equipped. Staff very friendly and efficient. This will be my third stay at the Lodge and... More

Very much enjoyed my time here. The hotel is exactly what it says on the tin, it's a small, charming B&B. Each set of rooms has it's own communal sitting room and terrace and it's very comfy. Greatly enjoyed my time here, and the staff were very helpful, especially sorting laudry! Would recommend and definitely stay again! It's also in... More

Room, with A/C, heater, private bathroom, tv and wifi in room. Excellent location in the Waterkant, with a small mall with supermarket just 1 minute walking. Room was excellent, very clean and comfortable. Bathroom facilities were also excellent. Breakfast included had different choices. The staff was really helpful and very nice. You can also book tours from the lodge at... More

I had to deliver some lost luggage to the Lodge. The person answering the phone was very rude and told me they closed the reception at 5.30pm and wasnt prepared to wait 15 mins for me to arrive. The poor customer had to wait one more night for her luggage. Upon arriving with said luggage I was greeted with the... More

The room was huge and I enjoyed the space. The room was neat and clean. The bathroom was also spacious. The facility is an old place serving as a hotel. The room had a kettle, coffee, tea, sugar, etc. but the fridge is outside in the passage. Breakfast was cold serving of fruit, yoghurt, muffins, etc. so don't expect a... More

The locations is extremely great in a walking distance to all you need (shops, bars, restaurants, public transport, etc.). The value is great indeed. Very safe around even at late night. It is on the top of a hill and walking sometimes can be challenging. Some of the apartments the entrance is from outside and when it rains can be... More

I went with some friends and we shared a nice apartment for the three of us. They had the upstairs room and I was downstairs in the other bedroom. The apartment was very clean and nice, the maids came everyday though we never saw them as we were out exploring the city. The only issue that I have is that... More

Receptionist was very off mood on arrival. Gave a dark dank room behind reception for our son. Tried to charge twice for airport taxi. Inappropriately charged late check-in fee despite our informing we would arrive past 4pm since we were coming by road from Lesotho. Had to contact credit card company to reverse unwarranted charge. Will not use or ever... More
