This was our second trip to pennycroft. After a very warm welcome on our first trip we knew we had to go back. Returning on our honeymoon walking tour of the Dales we were not let down. Lizzie and Laurence are great hosts, little extra touches like freshly baked cake and biscuits making the visit just that little bit more... More

We had two lovely nights here...very peaceful and relaxing. Lawrence and Lizzy went out of their way to make us feel welcome and rested. We had the small double room and it was just right : ) We really enjoyed watching the birds feeding at breakfast time- from robins to pheasants - and had a great breakfast ourselves!

Back from our second visit to the Pennycroft and every bit as good as the last. Lawrence and Lizzy are so welcoming and put you at ease from the moment you get there. With only 3 rooms they can provide a real personal touch that sets it apart from most b and b's. As they live a couple of doors... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, my husband and I were in the double, my brother in the other one and my sister her husband and boys in the other double and a twin. We got a really warm friendly welcome from Lizzie and Laurence. Our room was lovely and cosy, we had a comfortable large bed, tea and coffee... More

Had a fantastic stay. Lawrence and lizzy couldn't do enough for you. Locked our bikes away and gave us the low down on the local pubs. Homemade cakes on arrival, roaring fire and fabulous breakfast in the morning.. Our room was warm and cosy. Lovely touches such as dressing gowns available. We will be back.

This is the place for you if you enjoy a warm welcome and meeting other guests. Having free access to the kitchen and living room is great, especially the roaring fire. However if one couple is enjoying a cup of tea and cake by the fire you can feel like you're intruding as you walk through to go upstairs. In... More

We have stopped at pennycroft twice this year, and we will be going back!!! We were made to feel so welcomed, on arrival there's always home made cakes and biscuits. The rooms are spotless, the breakfasts are out of this world everything is fresh and from the local area. If your looking for a nice little guest house, that offers... More

Outstanding wee spot! Great breakfast, put us right with walking tips for the day, even supplied waterproofs and rucksacks- an unending supply of tea and cakes left out for us. Have stayed in many places across the Dales, and this really was a treasure to find. We'll be back. Eoin & Bryony

In the amazing little village of Kettlewell, we found this nugget. The hosts are so nice and love to receive people in their guesthouse. The rooms are nice, but the treasure is the breakfast : very good, cooked by the hosts, served in front of the bow window giving a view on the garden with ducks, pheasants and other birds... More
