I stayed here with 6 friends on a walking holiday in the dales. We were able to take advantage of the 2 steaks plus a bottle of wine offer for £25. The steak was one of the best I have ever had, and was cooked perfectly.

3 friends and I stayed here on Saturday evening after walking great wernside and buckden pike! Lovely sunny evening and this place was busy especially with south facing garden, great so sphere. We were ready for a hearty meal and I certainly wasn't disappointed with the meat and potato pie. Portions are big, great if you've worked up an appetite... More

We stayed at a nearby campsite and went twice to the Bluebell Inn. firstly on Friday night for a drink with our two children and pet dog. Parents will know that being welcome into a pub with children can be a bit hit and miss, but not here....the jovial landlord made us feel very welcome and even gave the kids... More

We have been visiting this pub for nearly 50 years! Things have changed over the years, but this is still one of our favourite destinations. The present owners, Julie and Dave, ensure that you can enjoy delicious food in a friendly atmosphere, and can stay over if you want to. This is a very old building, so don't expect modern... More

My husband and I (both in our sixties)stayed here for one night during our Dales Way walking holiday. All was fine until ,in the morning,my husband quietly mentioned to the landlord that the bed springs were poking through the mattress in our room and the water in the shower was scalding hot even on the lowest setting. He became very abusive and... After having our obligatory pints on completing our second day of walking the Dalesway we were shown to our rooms which were a bit disappointing. Small room and en suite with just an open shelf with hanging rail for a wardrobe and quite dark with a view of the carpark and beer barrels. We had read reviews about the food... More

We ate there and to be honest the food blew us away, that pie! I didn't research it before ordering other than was it a proper pie with a top and a bottom, well it did they called it a meat & potato pie well it was a steak pie with a smattering of potato and superb would be an... More

We stayed at this Inn last week. At £85.00 per room bed and breakfast, my expectation was that the room would have quality furnishings etc. To my dismay, the room was very, very tired and in urgent need of refurbishment. Had I realised sooner I would have asked for a refurbished room. The staff were polite, not over friendly which... More
