We stayed at The Bluebell over August Bank Holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The atmosphere in the pub was warm, busy & vibrant. The pub was as popular with locals as with tourists (always a good sign!) & welcomed tired & muddy booted walkers, families and dogs with equal ease. We found the Landlady & Landlord to be... More

We visited The Bluebell in August 2015 and what an enjoyable experience it was. As we were staying in a nearby cottage and hill walking everyday, we needed somewhere to be 'fed and watered' in the evening. The food was varied and plentiful; good value with prompt pleasant service. Added to this, no one minded the four-legged friends sitting well... More

We visited this pub whilst visiting the scarecrow festival and were very impressed. We asked if they had a table for eight people including a pram and was shown to a table by a friendly helpful person. He brought us all a menu and explained about the specials and how to order and then warmed a baby bottle for us.... More

Visited this pub for our tea on 2 successive nights, during the week. Both times the food was excellent, good portions (adults and children's) and arrived fairly quickly. The deserts are well sized and delicious. The staff certainly earned their crust as it was very busy both nights, this meant that the bar area was busy too. The pub is... More

We stayed here for 2 nights Friday and Saturday we was celebrating our silver wedding anniversary. We had a meal both nights,. the food is excellent and the breakfasts were really nice. We were given a warm welcome and the staff are very friendly. Would highly recommend it here.

Coming off a soggy moor we needed a hearty lunch, and we got that - and also a very well cooked and composed lunch as well. The goat's cheese with black pudding was an excellent combination of similar-but-different textures and earthy flavours, and the sweet-sharp of roast beetroot was perfect with gamey rich pan fried pigeon. I had another starter... More

A very warm welcome. Dogs children all welcome!! Room ok but smelt of cigarettes. Food however was brilliant. Good honest local homemade and the biggest breakfast ever. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and was on the Dalesway. Would I stay again. Hell yes

This was our second stop on the Dales Way and was a bit of a mixed bag. The pub was fine, the food was really good, but the rooms were very tired and in need of a bit more than just decoration. My en suite worked ok but the tiles were showing their age and the general appearance was quite... More
