I think that this is one of the most welcoming places at which I have ever stayed. There is a very strong desire to make you welcome. While the room in which we stayed was in some need of refurbishment it was ok for us.The chef in the restaurant was strongly desiring to please and breakfast was great. We were even invited... More

We stay every year in May. Julie and Dave are great hosts, staff very friendly and helpful. Food plentiful and excellent , with well kept beers and wine as accompaniment !!! Perfect as a walking base or if you are just passing through. Dogs and muddy boots very welcome!!! Thoroughly recommended.

...on the beer which was VERY good and served by a lovely friendly lady. Nice place to wait for a bus and watch the world pass by. We will come here again next time we're in the area. I'm waffling now to get the required 200 characters. Dunnit!

Quite simply the beat meat n potato pie I ve had in a pub.word of warning make sure you are hungry as the pie is a plate filler and came with lots of good veg and delicious cauliflower cheese. In fairness everything I saw come out of the kitchen looked good Not a cheap pie but worth it

We visited Kettlewell several times during our Dales holiday and had two lovely meals at this pub. Their roast dinner was delicious and really good portions. We also had the homemade soup and sandwich which was very tasty. One day we sat outside and had coffee, their outside seating is south facing so lovely on a sunny day. Staff were... More

Excellent hotel in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The landlord and land lady made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. They catered for a party of 40 plus dogs for a Saturday evening meal, all the meals were excellent. I would recommend this hotel for your stay in the Dales.

Whilst camping in the village and on a sunny but cold day we visited the Blue Bell after a 2 year hiatus. We were thrilled to be greeted with a roaring fire, a jovial host, the most amazing meat and potato pie and a mouth-watering sticky toffee pudding - what more can you ask for? We are staying in Kettlewell... More

We didn't stay as we were already holidaying in the village, however we did eat and drink. While visiting Kettlewell we visited on a busy Saturday and were made very welcome by the staff. There was a good mix of locals and visitors making a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent and the drinks were good too.... More

I stayed for two nights, and had excellent food and accommodation. Dave and Julie were really friendly and welcoming. My room was small, but well decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. It had a fine view over to the nearby hills. I found the food portions a little on the large side for me (I'm a small eater!), but... More
