This place is unique for many reasons, already presented by other readers. Go there, if you like hiking, relaxing, good food, reading, meditation. The owners built the whole village stone by stone and run the small hotel with real love.

This place really is rather special. Milia is way up in the hills, with just birds, nature & fresh air all around. The food is delicious - traditional Greek home cooked fare, kept natural & locally sourced. Charming quirky rooms, romantic with roaring fires in winter. Don't expect to use your hairdrier, wear your stilettos or sit in a hot... More

Just to confirm that this is an outstanding place. Good value and high quality, very tasteful and relaxed. We went just before Easter and it was warm enough to sit out during the day and with just enough of a chill at night to justify a roaring log fire. And of course it meant it was virtually empty so that... More

This is one of the most amazing places we have ever traveled. Hiking the area is fun and easy, and you will see all kinds of farm animals and wildlife. The restaurant is fantastic! We thought that there would be no electricity in the rooms, so we were pleasantly surprised to find lights. Also, they started a fire for us... More

The draws here are serene surroundings, original 17th century stone houses turned to pretty hotel rooms, and fresh food superbly prepared. As a self described "eco-lodge" it's appropriate that the rooms resemble well appointed camping cabins, not super-luxe hotel rooms. But that's part of the charm; they're tidy, cute, quiet, and feature front porches with views of the gorge. Visit... More

We spent four days in September at Milia, and loved it. The food is delicious and well priced (the complimentary breakfast every morning is amazing!). The rooms don't have any electrical plugs, and are a bit dark, but are comfortably rustic. We did several hikes from the property, including one 8 hour route to ruins. It is also only about... More

We spend 10 days on Milia...1st 7 days on a wild fitness camp, and then a few more days to use Milia as our base for hiking. Milia is a special place, very quiet, very traditional, very authentic. Don't expect any luxuxry, but it's in such a beautiful surrounding. The rooms are dark, but original, the food is delicious and... More

I spend just 1 night there and the least I felt was refreshed.Just forget at home (or at least in your car) all of your cell phones, laptops etc that makes your life difficult and miserable. Milia could be a glimpse of how Paradise must look like. You'll only hear 3 sounds there:rustling leaves, birds singing and the little brook.Period.No need for jakuses,swimming... More

My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights here in October. Its an extraordinary, atmospheric place which is quite different to anywhere I have visited before. The accommodation was sensational - a thick stone-walled room actually built into the hillside with a great (and well stocked fire). The lack of plug sockets (you can still get stuff charged in the main... More

We had visited Milia resort 5 years ago, just for lunch and we promised to ourselves to come back for hollidays. This year we deciced to spend 14 days there, so we booked on April. Finaly we stayed just for 4 nights. I don't need to add something else about the location, as I agree with all previous reviews. The... More
