Hotel in a very quiet and peaceful location. Only some minor criticism.A kettle would be nice and some information in the rooms about the facilities.Surrounding area all forested with some lovely villages and plenty of wildlife. We saw wild otters and boar as well as red squirrels, deer and kingfishers. A bit far away from the main chateaus but most... More

We stayed, with 2 children, overnight on a road trip. The room was comfortable for a family of four. The grounds are excellent, by a river, lots of green for the kids to run around, very quite and calm. The breakfast was also nice. Would definitely stay again. The staff when we arrived, and for breakfast was attentive.

The room was not in the building in the photo, it was in the old converted stable. We were not told the opening times of the restaurant and when we arrived for dinner we were told we were too late. The restaurant at this time was full of people! This was on a Sunday and all stores in this town... More

booked this as an overnight stop on way home - a stunning chateau with beautiful grounds. Clearly aimed at a family "club" clientele but nonetheless excellent for our needs - good room - pleasant staff - just a very good experience. Not sure I would recommend for a longer stay but equally seemed very full and saw absolutely nothing to... More

The castle looks magnificent, the grounds impressive. We arrived exhausted, hungry, thirsty and dirty after a 10 hour drive, with just enough time to shower and change in the castle room we had specifically booked and paid for... we thought. The hotel had no record of our booking and reception were reluctant to believe that we had made one. Fortunately we had... More

We booked this over 4 nights, 5 days to be near our daughter and children whilst they were "cottaging" nearby. The castle is magnificent, the grounds very pleasant and the facilities reasonable. We were put in one of about a dozen "chalets" in the corner of the grounds. Very well appointed, very quiet and quite comfortable. As well as being... More

Ideal passsage hotel on your way to the south. Located off highway in aged large hunting Chateau annex country-house and surrounded by lots of green. Rooms are a little outdated but who cares? Swimmingpool and others sportsfacilities on site. Buffet breakfast surprisingly tasteful. We will absolutely come back next time,

We stayed two separate nights in this hotel, had a very nice dinner both nights and a very good breakfast each morning. Very clean, nice staff and good food. There is a heated swimming pool, crazy golf and a tennis court and is in a very nice location.

This is a great place for an overnight stop, set in the grounds of a chateau about 4 km from the A71. We stayed in a cabin in the grounds with a double and two single beds. This was very comfortable and clean, in fact it seemed to be brand new. There is a very nice pool with a sliding... More

No one really knows why Holmes and Watson decided to spend a short stay at this Chateau long before it became the Hotel it is today. Research reveals very little, a veteran bicycle rally took place in the area in 2011 prompted no doubt by their visit, but there is no hard evidence to suggest that the two pals arrived... More
