You don't usually get to see quality hotels on the highway especially in places which is not around a Capital or a major business city. Never expected that we would get a decent business class hotel just outside Ambala. The food was too good. Had a dinner, breakfast and lunch at the restaurant, so had the opportunity to try a... We have started late from Chail, Himachal Pradesh and while on the way to Delhi we decided to take rest in night instead of driving down directly to Delhi. We found apparently good (from outside) hotel as compare to options available at around 10 to 11 pm on August 16, 2014. Staffs were courteous so it took very little to... More

One can not imagine such place on Highway, though the basic facilities are available but not at all maintained , be it toilets which are not clean, if hot water is available, cold water for mixing is not there, tiles and wash basins are not clean. Proper light is not available in rooms. Break fast was horrible with excess salt... More

While crossing Ambala, we spotted the Hotel. After travelling for a long time, we felt like resting and checked into Grand Pacific Retreat. A great experience. The rooms are spacious and facilities provided is too good. The best part of the stay was the experience at the restaurant 'Pakwan', they served some excellent food. Very tasty food & amazing cocktails....... More

I highly recommend against staying in this hotel specially for Business travelers. It is 15km out of town. It might be among the cheaper ones in Ambala but has pathetic service. Staff is uncooperative and behaves like they are doing an honour by serving you. The attitude was shared by the Hotel Manager too. Food was Okish by international standards.... More

When searching for a hotel to stay at during our trip to India, I came across rather surprised at the lack of hotels in or around the Ambala area. There are some smaller hotels, but nothing that would really cater to a tourist. A family friend recommended a new hotel that just opened up outside Ambala (probably 15 KM from... More
